Q. Believing that the Lord provide for my basic needs like food, drink and clothes is not a problem to me. But when it’s about all the things I have to succeed in, and my welfare in every existing area of my life, that’s another story.
I yearn for a job that is fulfilling to me, so I can do what interests me and experience success instead of feeling incompetent or out of place. And the most important thing is that my future job would not cause me distress and misery. These are very important to me but not as basic as food or clothes. It would be good if my welfare and my well being in every area of my life wouldn’t depend on me and my so very insufficient abilities, but instead I could ask the Lord to take the sole responsibility for all of these things. Is the Lord willing to cooperate and help me in such a way?

Q. May the Lord bless you in many ways for your web site and knowledge of the Scripture. I have learned so much from your site! We use it for our studies to help us interpret some of the scriptures.
My question is about the churches. What exactly does the church or churches in the Bible really mean? Is it a building, country, or as I hope I am reading right, our prayers and fellowship with Christ? My neighbor who is also a Christian of many years asked me the same question yesterday. We all study the scriptures at home.

Q. I have seen so many negative changes in the world that my children are growing up in, and it scares me. I am not sure exactly when the rapture will take place and how much worse it is going to get, I am just wondering about ideas on how to prepare my family for the coming days. I have three small children, and I want our lives to be as comfortable and pain free as can be before the rapture actually takes place. Read Post »

Q. Is it wrong in the eyes of the Lord if I have fear of the unknown despite that I asked and ask His forgiveness and His help and I trust Him with everything? I handle hard my bad feelings, especially distress and fear. Are these feelings equal to doubt in the eyes of the Lord? I have problems with the definition of doubt, what the Lord counts as doubt. Q. I just came across your section on tithing and it brought up a question I have had for a long time. Since taxes get taken out of our gross pay before we even see the check, how can we give the first fruits? Is there a way that you know of to pay our taxes differently so that we can truly give our first fruits to Him? And it says the first fruits of our increase, does this mean non financial things also? Someone had donated a car to us and I’m not sure how to deal with that. And what about time? Every day we are given 24 more hours, can you imagine what our world would be like if we all tithed 10 percent of our time to Him? Read Post »

Q. Would you be kind enough to explain Luke 21:36? I am a born again Christian depending on what Christ sacrificed on the cross for me. I do not believe I am worthy to escape what is soon to happen, except for Christ in me, He alone is worthy. I am confused as to why it states in Luke 21:36 to pray always that I may be worthy to escape. Read Post »

Q. I saw the letter from the guy who felt he’d let the Lord down by getting married.
In 1 thess. 4, it says let each man find a wife in a way that is holy and honorable. What does he mean let no one take advantage of him in this process? Is it referring to cheating him like Laban did Jacob? Is it adultery or fornication? Or could it be referring to everything? Read Post »
