Sunday May 19, the Church celebrates its official birthday, called Pentecost, because it was on the day of the Jewish Feast of Pentecost that the Holy Spirit came upon the apostles and empowered them to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the worshipers gathered in Jerusalem in multiple languages.  Our feature article this week describes the history of the Feast of Pentecost.
