You’ve mentioned 5 crowns as rewards that believers can earn, where are they in the Bible and to what exactly does The Crown of Life refer?

Explaining Our Crowns

Published: June 30, 2023 (Originally published: April 20, 2013)
Q

I was wondering about the crowns that we can earn. Why do we want to get them? How can we get them? When will we give them to God? Will everyone have them or will some have none?

Is There A Ruling Class In Heaven?

Published: August 21, 2023 (Originally published: August 2, 2013)
Q

My question is based on 2 Tim 2.12. Its a popular view in my church that if you suffer in this life, and respond well to it, you will be rewarded by becoming part of a ruling class in heaven. This sound fine except that isn’t it true that all members of the church will enjoy the same privilege regardless of their life experience (Rev. 1:6)? I am not able to find support for such a hierarchy of believers in Heaven. Is there such a thing?

So, forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. All of us who are mature should take such a view of things.

Eternal Consequences For Believers?

Published: June 6, 2023 (Originally published: June 23, 2006)
Q

I just read ‘Best Of Both Worlds?‘ and came across this:

‘And when they stand before the Bema Seat judgment (1 Cor 3:10-15) with their salvation intact but absent any rewards, this will become most obvious to them as they experience eternal consequences for a few years of rebellious behavior.’

What do you mean by eternal consequences? As in restrictions placed on us in eternity? The more rebellious we were on Earth, the more consequences (like what?) we have in eternity?

I held the view that all the Church would be equal in eternity, with no class structure. How do you see it?

Crown Him With Many Crowns

Published: May 30, 2022 (Originally published: July 22, 2015)

A Bible Study by Jack Kelley

This verse from the old hymn obviously refers to the Lord in His position as King of Kings. But did you know that you may also receive multiple crowns? There are five types of crowns mentioned in the New Testament that will be given to qualifying believers immediately after the Rapture.

Not Really A Watchman?

Published: February 26, 2024 (Originally published: February 10, 2013)
Q

I was born again five years ago and I’ve told my friends and family about Jesus, the coming rapture and all that. I’ve also given out tons of tracts to strangers. I’ve written articles online and posted them in high-traffic areas. I’ve prayed for people I know who are unbelievers, to come to Christ. But as far as I can tell, nobody has! Am I doing something wrong? Maybe I’m not really a watchman after all?

Rapture Before Judgment?

Published: November 25, 2009 (Originally published: November 24, 2009)
Q

Thank you as always for your help in understanding the Scriptures. Is it all right to pray that God does not judge America for turning her back on Him until after the Rapture? I know that after the Rapture America will suffer greatly. Do you think that the Lord in knowing this will use what will happen to America after the Rapture as a judgment?

I realize much is already happening that is leaning towards our being judged now…economy, joblessness, etc. Do you think all of this may get much worse before the Lord comes for His Church? It’s just I’m am fearful. I know I should not be. My husband has now been looking for a job for five months since the company he worked for moved out of state. He’s now receiving unemployment checks and when these end I don’t know what we will do. I want to believe the Lord will supply a job for him.

Why Will They Have To Watch?

Published: June 12, 2013 (Originally published: June 11, 2013)
Q

In His Olivet Discourse, Jesus mentioned the need to watch for His 2nd coming (Matthew 24:42). I understand that we must keep watch for the Rapture since it will take place in “a twinkling of the eye” on an unknown date and time. However, the Second coming of Jesus is certain to happen after the 7-year Tribulation which will be known to the entire world including believers who survive the Tribulation (because everyone can see Him coming in the clouds!). So why watch for the Second Coming? What will be the consequences if one fails to watch for Jesus’ second coming?
