Ezekiel 38 and Revelation 20
Published: September 17, 2015 (Originally published: September 19, 2015)I read an article about two different wars of Ezekiel 38-39.
I also read your commentary on the Book of Revelation, “When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth – Gog and Magog – to gather them for battle” (Rev. 20:8)
These two articles, yours and the other, agree that the “Gog and Magog” war, will be at the end of the 1000 years.
Then I read another article writing the opposite. This is quite confusing, to read different scenarios, all on trustworthy websites.
I have previously believed the Gog/Magog war will be before Armageddon, but now after reading for the first time, that it might be at the end of the 1000 year reign, I am quite baffled.
Please explain in more detail. Thank you for taking time to make things clearer.
Who Is The Lord Talking To?
Published: November 1, 2007 (Originally published: November 1, 2007)I have a question about the Gog/Magog war. I have a friend who uses the Ezekiel 38:17 verse as proof that “the one spoken about by the prophets” is none other than the AC and that Gog/Magog (Ezekiel 38-39) is just another summary of the Armageddon war. I believe as you do that these 2 wars are different, and I have told them that I thought Haggai and Ezekiel (and possibly Joel) might be the prophets referenced here. What is your take on this verse and who are the prophets that spoke of the Gog/Magog war and are referenced in Ezekiel 38-39?
Ezekiel 38 Again
Published: August 18, 2006 (Originally published: August 18, 2006)This concerns the war of Gog and Magog in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. We know this could not happen until Israel thinks it is living in peace and safety. I have more of an observation than a question for you to comment on. I find it hard to believe that the United States would allow this to even come close to happening especially when we have a sizable force currently in the region.
It will take a significant amount of time for a force the size of the one described in Ezekiel 38-39 to assemble for the invasion so it could not be a surprise attack. I feel that something really bad has to happen to the United States to require our resources to be used somewhere else or something happens that destroys a lot of our resources to prevent us from interceding. If the Rapture happens before this war that would explain the United States lack of resources. Or the United States can have a catastrophic natural event such as an earthquake on the New Madrid fault.
What do you think keeps the United States out of this conflict? Thank you for your valuable insights.
Doesn’t Satan Know?
Published: July 31, 2016 (Originally published: August 24, 2006)I have recently found your website and would like to thank you for your incredible insight into the book of Revelation via the Revelation Times articles you have written. They have certainly answered many questions I had and are BIG faith increasers!
My question is in regards to Satan’s knowledge of the end times. Am I correct in assuming that Satan knows of coming events such as the rapture (even though he doesn’t know the exact timing), the Gog/Magog war, the rise in power of the anti-Christ, Armageddon and the 2nd coming of Christ, and the fact that he will be bound for 1000 years and then loosed for a “little while” until he is thrown into the lake of fire?
Does he know this, and more importantly, is he ignorant enough to believe he can change the course of these events to his favor? Or does he know he’s doomed for eternal punishment no matter what he does? Hate must be his motivator?
Catastrophic Events Before The Rapture?
Published: June 3, 2010 (Originally published: June 2, 2010)I want to start by saying that I really enjoyed reading your study on Ezekiel 38. It was very instructive and wonderfully written. I do however, have a question. You mentioned in the study as stated by Ezekiel that the Gog Magog battle will take place when Israel is living is safety in a land without walls (paraphrasing). Your postulation is that this event will take place after the rapture, My question is this, how forward in the future will this event take place after the rapture?
It is implausible to think that a world which could easily see over 1/3 of its 6 billion inhabitants vanish would be in any state other than that of heightened alert. This is specially true with a nation like Israel. This is the part of the study which raises a question for me as to the timing of the rapture and whether we will perhaps witness some catastrophic events before the rapture. I would love to hear your clarification on this.

So far in this study, we’ve seen the prophecies of Israel’s latter-day rebirth. We’ve learned that they would first appear again in unbelief, thinking that they had brought themselves back to life and that they themselves had built, populated, and defended their homeland.

There are seven major prophetic signs of the Second Coming, and currently all of them are in some stage of fulfillment. As in years past, I’ll list the seven with their primary Biblical references and offer comments from current events.
