My Church Doesn’t Teach Prophecy

Published: September 12, 2023
Q

There’s only one thing that bothers me about my church and that is they do not teach anything about end-times prophecy. In 7 years I have never heard 1 sermon in regards to the book of Revelation or any other end times events as spoken of in the Bible. I have heard that since we will not be here for the tribulation so why teach about it if we are not going to be here? That does not make sense to me. Am I way off here? If the bible is approximately 33% prophecy, filled and unfilled, shouldn’t at least some of the sermons be about prophecy, filled and unfilled?

Were They Cousins?

Q

I couldn’t find anything on your site regarding this subject so I’m asking myself. I apologize if you’ve answered this many times before. I read commentaries about John’s mother, Salome, being Jesus’ aunt. I have a hard time envisioning that. How likely is it that they are cousins? I appreciate your wealth of knowledge on all aspects of the Bible.

Angels Mating With Humans?

Published: September 11, 2023
Q

I have got to ask this question about angels mating with humans. The Bible says in heaven we are neither married or given in marriage. [Mark 12:25] There is neither male or female in heaven [Galatians 3:28] That being known; Why would the angels have the ability to reproduce with anything, let alone humans? It seems contradictory, to have angels mating with anything let alone producing Nephilims to run about.

Burning The Weapons

Published: September 11, 2023
Q

I would like to hear your thoughts on a comment that I heard recently from a respected Bible teacher who said that Ezekiel 39:9-10 says that after the War of Gog & Magog, the Jews will burn the weapons from this war for fuel for a total of 7 years. The Bible teacher went on to say that because in Revelation 12:6 (3.5 yrs into the tribulation) the Jews flee Israel to a place prepared for her by God (Petra) and therefore the War of Gog & Magog has to start at least 3.5 years before the start of the Tribulation Period.

Can A Believer Have Doubts?

Published: September 8, 2023
Q

I read recently that a true believer can not ‘lose’ their faith or have doubts; that if they did they couldn’t possibly have been saved in the first place, for the Holy Spirit would not allow such a thing.

Will We See Satan?

Published: September 8, 2023
Q

With the Rapture occurring before the “man of Sin” is revealed and with Satan having access to Heaven for the first 3 1/2 years of Daniel’s 70th week, is it likely that we who are raptured will see him and his fallen angel followers prior to their being cast down to earth for the final 3 1/2 years of Daniel’s 70th week?

Did John The Baptist Have Doubts?

Published: September 8, 2023
Q

John the Baptist met & knew Jesus several times: before birth, while baptizing Jesus, etc… (besides being Jesus’ cousin) and yet John had to be assured once again after he was arrested by Herod. What happened to make him doubt while he was in prison?

Coming Temple

Q

Your writings are one of the best I’ve ever had to the pleasure to read and teach. I have a question about the “Tribulation Temple:” Will it be destroyed in Armageddon? You have said in your writings that Christ will return and rebuild the Temple and we know His return is to put an end to that battle, ending the tribulation.

OSAS Ad Infinitum

I can’t decide if you are right that we have eternal security, or if (another website) is right and we can lose it for bad behavior. If it does turn out that you are wrong, that is a terrible burden to bear.

No Smokers In The Rapture?

Published: September 7, 2023
Q

I just want to clear something up! In the article “will smokers miss the rapture” your saying that smokers will be part of the rapture? Aren’t we supposed to be led by the spirit of God and have the Spirit of God within us in order to be raptured? So then how does this work?

If a person is addicted to something eg. smokes, that means that he/she can’t control themselves (in this area), which makes me believe that they’re being controlled by something else. It can not be the Holy Spirit (because the Holy Spirit doesn’t encourage you to do things that will hurt your body or the place where He dwells). This means that he/she must be controlled by a bad spirit that is trying to keep him/her hooked to something that belongs to the world and not to God. You can’t associate smokers with church. I can’t see the Bride smoking! If this is true then wouldn’t you say that the smoker might be endangered to miss the rapture?

Wouldn’t it be better to say that he should get a lot of help in prayer so that God may give him the strength to get rid of the addiction. so that the Holy Spirit can be in full control of him? When you give your life to God, shouldn’t He be in control of it? This may require some sacrifices from us eg. what we do, what we say, how we dress etc, where we go etc. Am I wrong?
