The Trinity

Q

I have just read in one of your answers that we are not expected to understand the Trinity, but just to believe it. Could you tell me where in the bible I can find the requirement to believe in the Trinity?

A

The Bible never explains the Trinity, but it asserts it in many places. From the creation to our redemption, you’ll find the Trinity as active participants.

All three are said to dwell within the believer.

We are God’s Temple in 1 Cor 3:16.

The Holy Spirit is sealed within us in Ephesians 1:13-14.

God dwells in Jesus and Jesus dwells in us in John 17:23.

Jesus is clearly described as God in the flesh and performed His miracles through the power of the Holy Spirit.

One God in three persons is an essential belief of Christianity.
