Things We Shouldn’t Do

Recently I came across a commentary by a well known Christian author who claims the only other time in history that gay marriages were officially sanctioned was when Noah was alive, and this was the primary reason God sent the Great Flood. She concluded that the successful legalization of same sex marriages would be the first time such a thing has happened since the flood and would mean our time is uniquely similar to the days of Noah, making us ripe for catastrophic judgment. Can you tell me if this is true?

The Bible doesn’t come right out and say this, so we can’t confirm the writer’s claims there. But from reading through the Bible we can tell there are two kinds of sin the Lord has a special dislike for. One is the murder of innocent children and the other is homosexuality.

Both of these sins are in direct opposition to the Lord’s first instruction to mankind, which was to be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:28) and maybe that’s why they’re at the top of His list of things we shouldn’t do. Having previously legalized abortion, officially condoning same sex marriage makes us zero for two.
