Messianic Prophecy

Published: July 19, 2015 (Originally published: July 20, 2015)
Q

What evidence do we have that Old Testament prophecies we believe to be Messianic in nature are also considered to be Messianic Prophecies by the Jewish people? And if our versions of them are the same what is their reasoning for not accepting Jesus?

The 144,000. Follow Up

Published: July 19, 2015 (Originally published: July 20, 2015)
Q

Re: The 144,000 of Rev. 7 and 14.  If one of the groups consists of Jews, and the other represents the raptured Church, does that mean that 144,000 is the pre-determined number of Christians who will be saved & raptured before the Great Tribulation? In which case, aren’t there a lot more Christians in the world than that today? Does this mean that only a select portion of the Church will be taken in the rapture?

More On Adam and Eve

Published: July 20, 2015 (Originally published: July 21, 2015)
Q

If Adam and Eve were the only two human beings created by God, and then they had children, who did Cain and Seth marry? Or did God create other humans after Adam and Eve? Genesis 4.16. I know this sounds like a silly question, but I have always wondered who their wives could be.

Does Israel Have A Right To Our Support?

Published: July 20, 2015 (Originally published: July 21, 2015)
Q

I read an online article by someone who says having a standing army is a violation of Israel’s Old Covenant relationship with God and  means they don’t have any right to the Church’s support.  I think he’s missed a big part of the point point and probably is also using the Bible in the direction he wants his opinion to flow. I might be totally wrong.  What do you think?

Why Were We Chosen To Escape?

Published: July 21, 2015 (Originally published: July 22, 2015)
Q

I have a family member who asks “why would God choose us to ‘Escape’ the 7 year Tribulation period, when all thru the centuries, there have been Christians who have suffered and died for their Faith?”  I have tried explains to her about the difference in sufferings/tribulation in general and the 7 year Tribulation/Great Tribulation, which is God’s wrath upon unbelievers and workers of evil and iniquity!  What else can I tell her that might help her in accepting a Pre-Trib Rapture?

Adam And Jesus

Published: July 17, 2015 (Originally published: July 18, 2015)
Q

I’m aware that Adam was created in God’s image (Genesis 1:27) and that Jesus is the bodily representation of God (Colossians 1:15). Does it seem Biblically accurate that Jesus and Adam resembled each other? In a sense like twins?  Or is it more of a Spiritual imagery?

What If It’s Not Pre-Trib?

Published: July 14, 2015 (Originally published: July 14, 2015)
Q

I believe in the pretrib rapture but I was wondering,  would it be possible that if the rapture is not pretrib, and fundamental believers are disappointed by being in the trib, that they will apostasize and that is the great falling away? I hope I am being just a worry wort and too sensitive to the bad things that are happening. Is this even a valid theory? has anyone else raised this question?

About The Judgment Day

Published: July 13, 2015 (Originally published: July 14, 2015)
Q

What if there was a married couple that began using hard drugs.Over time,in order to support their habit, they committed all types of crimes.

Eventually, the wife gets saved and sincerely changes. They both die.On judgment day, while the wife will be spared judgement and the shame and embarrassment of having her life replayed, the husband will not.

Now even though the wife is saved, will  her indiscretions be shown during the husbands judgment, when that together they sinned? Or will her face/image be blocked out, since she accepted JESUS?

The Rapture In 1 John 3:2

Published: July 14, 2015 (Originally published: July 15, 2015)
Q

I’ve never observed 1 John 3:2 before in the context of the Rapture. “When He appears, we shall be like Him…” Sounds to me just like the translation of living believers in 1 Thess 4 and 1 Cor 15. Those who see Him at His 2nd Coming will certainly behold Him as He is–but, will not be translated into His likeness. Your thoughts ?

One more question, please ! Do you equate the ISIS buildup as prelude to the imminence of the Psalm 83 battle ?
