Q

I have recently found your website and I’m impressed with a number of your articles. I would like to know who the “called” are in Romans 8:28? Are they the same as the Elect and how are they “called”? Who does the calling?

Out Of Fellowship

Published: September 16, 2020 (Originally published: September 25, 2011)
Q

Once we have received salvation we are attuned to the Spirit of God. What happens to our spirit when we back slide? I know we are permanently sealed and even the gates of hell cannot undo our salvation, nor can we ourselves undo our salvation. I know during our periods of back sliding we are out of fellowship with Christ and open doors for curses and receive no blessings during this time. What I want to know is, our spirit, are we still attuned to the Spirit of God while we are out of fellowship?

The Potter And The Clay

Q

I have a question concerning the topic of first mention. I have heard that with the potter and the clay (Romans 9) that it actually refers to service that GOD has you do for him and not to salvation like the Calvinists believe. Could you please shed some light on this and possibly look at the potter and the clay in light of the topic of first mention.

Q

I think a Christian can choose to walk away from God. God would never walk away from us, but can’t we choose to walk away from Him. I don’t think we give up free will once we are born again, do you ?

Q

Re: Rev. 20:1-6. Who are the ones who received authority to judge in Rev. 20:4? And who are the saints who will be priests of God and will rule with Him for the millennium in Rev. 20:6? Are these saints some members from the raptured Church, like pastors of today? If so, won’t the Church will be on earth during the millennium?

Taking Thoughts Captive

Published: September 18, 2020 (Originally published: September 9, 2011)
Q

2 Cor. 10:3-5 tells us to demolish the enemy’s arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and to take take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ.

My question is , How do we take our thoughts captive in Christ? Are there words that must be said? Do we invoke Jesus’ name? Do we just try to think of something else? Do we pray to have Satan bound in Jesus’ name so he cannot affect us? How do we know If the thoughts are from an evil entity or just our sin nature? What is the correct way to deal with thoughts that cross our mind and are not holy and serving of God
