Did God Approve This?

Published: April 2, 2016 (Originally published: April 12, 2016)
Q

Did the Lord command the building of the Temple that will be built before or during the tribulation? Do you think Christians should financially support the building of that Temple? I recently read that the Lord did not sanction that Temple and maybe I shouldn’t be sending money there. I am a little confused, because in reading Ezekiel, when the Lord is giving all the measurements for the Temple, it seems to me that He does sanction it. Isn’t this the Temple where Jesus will come when He returns?

Will God Forgive Them?

Published: April 5, 2016 (Originally published: April 13, 2016)
Q

My children refuse to forgive me for something terrible I did many years ago. I do not want their failure to forgive me held against them. If I ask the Lord not to hold that sin against them, as He did on the cross, will God not hold it against them?

More Questions About Heaven

Published: April 1, 2016 (Originally published: April 8, 2016)
Q

I visit your web site often. It’s great! One question… You say that people who are in heaven can see what is going on here on earth. God says there will be no tears or sadness in heaven. Seems to me if they can see us it would indeed make them sad with tears to see the millions that are lost….Not to mention the suffering.

Giving Account Follow Up

Published: April 1, 2016 (Originally published: April 10, 2016)
Q

Regarding a previous answer on Giving Account to the Lord: I think I’m going to be sweeping the streets of gold because I probably haven’t had a pure motive for anything in my life. I’m certain every good thing I’ve ever done is going to be burned like dead grass. It makes me sad, though. I wish I could have a truck load of crowns to throw at the Lord’s feet when I’m with him, but I’m afraid I’m going to stand before him speechless and then fall on my face. What can I say?

Places like Psalm 25:12 & 14 speak of the fear of the Lord. Is it by fear then that we ultimately look toward Him for salvation?

Receiving The Holy Spirit In Acts 8

Published: April 1, 2016 (Originally published: April 9, 2016)
Q

I have question about Acts 8:9-25. I believe as you, that in the church age that all who accept Christ as savior have the Holy Spirit sealed within us at that very instant. However the story about the Samaritan believers seems to contradict this. What’s your take on why they didn’t receive the Holy Spirit until the laying on of hands by Peter and John?

Re: John 20:14-17. After the resurrection why did Jesus command Mary Magdalene not to touch Him for He had not yet ascended to the Father, yet later in the chapter, Jesus asked Thomas to feel His wounds?

The Unpardonable Sin

Q

If someone like an atheist, who previously rejected Christ, but later in life accepts him as their savior, then he is forgiven. Is not the Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit then essentially when a person is in a position where they permanently reject Christ?

Faith Or Works?

Published: April 1, 2016 (Originally published: April 11, 2016)
Q

Romans 4:2 seems to say that Abraham was made righteous through faith and James 2:21 seems to say he was made righteous by works. Could you explain the context of James 2 because it seems to say that if you have faith but you don’t do works your faith is dead, implying that maybe you’re not saved.
