Can you please give me your opinion on fire walking, walking over a bed of glowing coal. A motivation speaker uses it to curb peoples fear. I have looked around but can not find much about it from an Christian view point. It seems wrong to me though. The said speaker offers other useful services but I would rather distance myself from him if fire walking is against the Lords will.Your opinion will be much appreciated.

My question is whether or not Adam and Eve were the literal first two people created who then went on to populate the earth, if they were two of a tribe of people or if they were symbolic of the human race in its creation.

Two women in my Sunday school class from different backgrounds both stated that they had been taught that Adam and Eve were two of a large tribe created all at once. When I asked them how then the entire human species was then judged because of Adams sin they replied because Adam had some kind of special anointing that made the curse of sin not only pass downward among his generations, but also laterally among the rest of mankind.

I have a hard time believing this. The only argument they presented that I was unable to flat out refute was after Cain murdered Abel he pleaded with God not to send him away in fear of the other people who would seek and kill him. Seeing as at the time Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel were the only people alive the only people he would have been in fear of would now have only been his parents. I took the stance that he is foreseeing a future clan of kinsman seeking retribution, but I didn’t know if you had any more insight or if you’ve ever been confronted with this line of teaching. Hi! I have a few questions about life in Heaven…I’m wondering when we go to heaven will our new lives carry out – not so much the same as our earthly lives – but more with the same tendencies and emotions (but without sin of course) as on earth? Do you think we will have ‘relationships’ with fellow believers (i.e. best friends, lovers, parents, children) as we do on earth?

I guess the reason I’m wondering is that we were made in God’s image with similar emotions (love,joy,sadness etc) and there must be a reason that we are drawn to certain people in life more so than others…will we recognize family and friends, husbands and wives in heaven and still have stronger feelings for those people than others, or will it be every ‘believer’ for themselves – our earthly relationships diminished and a new ‘family’ developed with our fellow believers?

I heard a sermon about God’s blessings and success in our earthly life. The preacher said that evil spiritual beings and forces are more of an obstacle to God’s blessings than earthly circumstances. He said most times trying to live a life pleasing to God, although essential, isn’t enough. What is required to lead a successful Christian life and partake of all of God’s blessings is the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

In Ephesians 4:11 – the “teachers” that Paul spoke of, are those the same as rabbi? Thanks and have a blessed day!

My mother, a former catholic, now born-again (praise GOD!) is having a terrible time understanding how Jesus can be God and God’s Son at the same time, and cannot at all comprehend how Mary became impregnated with Jesus. Is Matthew 27:52,53 describing a historical event? If so, why only Matthew recorded this? Who were those “holy people who had died were raised to life”? Does “raised to life” mean “resurrection” in such context?

What exactly does it mean when a church calls itself a Kingdom Church?

How come God had to send His only son to Earth to accomplish what he wanted accomplished? Why didn’t God just talk to someone else and tell them what to do? (kinda like Noah) So Jesus, being his “Only Son” does that mean he can’t send another person to earth now?

About 10 years ago I prayed for a relative a day before his bleeding stomach surgery and shared the gospel with him. Afterward he agreed to say the sinner’s prayer with me. He recovered from his surgery but went back to his pagan practices. A couple of years ago he was diagnosed with a terminal illness. This time he was led to say the sinner’s prayer by his sister and a friend. His family are all very strong Christians and they got him baptized as well. He recently passed away. Do you think he was saved, or did he disqualify himself by going back to his old ways after he asked the first time?

If all children are also raptured, then why were not the children in Noah’s time saved? Or in Sodom?

I appreciate and agree with your interpretation of scripture that we should give a minimum 10 percent of our income plus offerings, the more the better. I happily meet these minimums and hope to increase them as God prospers me. However, some writers conclude that the temple to which the ancient Israelites were contributing was more than a religious tithe, but as a theocracy the temple was also responsible for the social welfare as well as the religious welfare of the people.

Since our taxes to the U.S., state and local governments are to promote the common good, although sometimes debatable as to their effectiveness and wise use, is it possible to consider involuntary taxes as being a part of our tithe?

I just read your statement on Children and the Rapture and you used Romans 7:9 as why children will be taken. Are you saying children are sinless till they reach the age of accountably? So they are not sinners when they are born? Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.

My question this time regards how to teach the concept of men and women being the “Bride of Christ.”

We know that means the “church.” However, some men have difficulty grasping the non feminine meaning of their being a bride,and also how they can be the “body” of Christ. Any suggestions?

I have a question  about what Jesus said in Matthew 5:28 and what Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 5.  Will fantasies of sexual encounters with women I know keep me from entering into heaven? I know Jesus paid for it all, past present and future, but then I think of these verses. I’m currently battling this sin and it’s a tough one for me.  Could you put these verses into context with respect to the finished work of our most excellent God, King and savior!

Dear friends, this is now my second letter to you. I have written both of them as reminders to stimulate you to wholesome thinking. I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Savior through your apostles.

For the last two years my son has given me a gnome for mothers day, he says it is traditional to give a gnome for that special day. I really don’t care about those so called good for your garden statues. Are gnomes some sort of idol?

I kept my cool since I can’t seem to find out too much about them other than they were formed in Germany and made for gardens. Would you please give me some information on these little statues so I can stop them from coming again next year and toss the ones I have out if they are some kind of witchcraft. If they are some sort of witchcraft I will educate my neighbors about them as well.

My question for you, is about Passover. If Jesus fulfilled the law, why did He do passover the day before, on Preparation day. Is it because He was the Passover Lamb? (thus fulfilling the law!)

I have received so much instruction, encouragement and wisdom from your writings. Thank you for allowing the Lord to use you. My question comes from Hebrews 6:4-6 which states: “It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.”

I have mulled this verse over and over and cannot seem to grasp it. This isn’t a cloaked stab at the OSAS argument. I am convinced, as you are, that we are saved by what we believe not by how we behave. I simply can’t make these verses align with anything else so that means I’m missing something. Can you help?

What is the biblical definition of a person who has clean hands and a pure heart for the Lord? Just one who believes in Him or is it much more?

I was referred to your website from a friend and was reviewing some of your answers to your readers as well looking through your book. In one of your answers and in your book Children’s Stories of the Bible (The Adult Version) you state that Satan is Lucifer in Isaiah 14:12. I was rather shocked at this because the word Lucifer is not in any manuscript.

I have copied a quick study on this from a scholar that I read and would like to share with you. After you review this, please explain to me how and why you believe Lucifer is Satan and how that name is used when it is not in any manuscript? I would like a different opinion on this so I know all sides.
