Sin That Leads To Death
Published: October 7, 2015 (Originally published: October 12, 2015)Please help me understand these verses in 1 John 5:16-17: If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life–to those who commit sins that do not lead to death. There is sin that leads to death; I do not say that one should pray for that. All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that leads to death.
My thoughts on this are: the sin that leads to death is blaspheming the Holy Spirit which would imply the person committing this sin is not a believer in Christ as his Savior. So praying for him to have life is not an option. But, for any other sin we see a brother committing we can pray for God to give him life (salvation?) and He will?
The Unjust Steward (Shrewd Manager)
Published: October 7, 2015 (Originally published: October 11, 2015)I thank the Lord all the time for leading me to your website. The new Ask a Bible teacher section is great! I read them all.
I have a mental block, I guess, about the unjust steward in Luke 16, especially verses 8 & 9 (although I certainly prove the last part of verse 8). Most people that have just been ripped off are not going to commend anybody, especially the thief. And who is Jesus talking to in verse 9?
Another verse that I’ve gotten some rather strange answers on is Deuteronomy 32:8. What does that mean?
Thanks for your site & all your help!
Persuading Stubborn People
Published: October 7, 2015 (Originally published: October 10, 2015)Thank you, so much for your hard work in this website. It has truly strengthened my faith, and has been a constant source of Truth since I discovered it.
I am perplexed in talking to non-believing friends and associates. Tonight I had an encounter where the person asked me to prove the Bible’s authenticity, that it wasn’t corrupted over the years. I was wondering how to do this from a secular point of view, on the spot. I do have some quotes and phrases up my sleeves, but nothing seems to work on truly stubborn people. I even presented to them the possibilities of Jesus fulfilling all 300 prophecies, and that compared to secular history it has been more than accurate.
I am confused on what to say to a person that asks for real “proof” if there isn’t more than that. Am I just to forget about it? The way I am forbids even the thought of giving up on a person. Any advice whatsoever on this would be greatly appreciated, and may God continue to shower his gifts upon you!
Feeding 4,000 And 5,000

Life After Death
Published: October 7, 2015 (Originally published: October 11, 2015)I have been listening to your Revelation mp3 studies every month. Not only are they very informative, but they leave me with a desire to learn more about the bible. I am trying to connect the dots on life after death from the beginning of time. You have made references to this on numerous articles and tracks, but I feel like I am missing something. This is what I understand …
Death Before the Cross
Everyone went to the “Abode of the Dead.” If you died with faith of a coming redeemer, you went on the side called Paradise, a joyful place. On the other side was what we refer to as hell, a terrible place of torment.
Death After the Cross
Jesus gathered all people in Paradise and brought them to heaven – (Is this correct or do they stay here until the final judgment after the Millennium? Is the final judgment for everyone or just unbelievers?)
When we die now we bypass Paradise and go directly to heaven – Is there any waiting period to get to heaven? Or, is it “poof” you are there like everyone says? If there is a waiting period, are we waiting for the rapture so everyone can go to heaven at the same time?
The Dead During End Times
I am really confused about our placement during end times. Taking your stance that the rapture is first, do we stay in heaven while Jesus comes down to earth for his second coming? Or, do we shadow Him? At what point do we enter the giant low orbit satellite called the New Jerusalem with Jesus? (I am assuming that we don’t go directly there after death). At what point does God the father enter Jehovah Shammah, the Holy City on Earth?
Is there any record of what happens to the unsaved at the end of the Millennium? Since the beginning of time, all dead unbelievers have gone to the torment side of the Abode of the Dead. Do they return after their final judgment? Is there an initial judgment? Or, do unbelievers just enter the Abode of the Dead waiting for their final judgment.
Thanks so much for your insight.
Seven Letters To Seven churches
Published: October 7, 2015 (Originally published: October 10, 2015)Thank you so much for your service to the Lord by having this website. So many questions are answered with solid sound doctrine. This is something we sheep need so desperately today.
My question concerns the 7 Letters written to the 7 Churches. Some say that the Lord is addressing true believers and some say that he was addressing all those who profess faith in Him. Some were/are truly saved and some were/are not.
I was raised Roman Catholic. When I was 16 I rejected Christianity because it seemed to me that Jesus was always sending me to hell for something that I did or did not do. At 21, for the very first time I heard the true Gospel of Grace, the Gospel of our Salvation. I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior and was baptized to that testimony.
As I began to read the 7 letters to 7 Churches, I recognized the Roman Catholic Church in Churches 3 and 4, Pergamos and Thyatira. Especially Thyatira. In the Letters, as I understood it, Christ was speaking to all those who say they know Him. The over comers did and those who didn’t overcome didn’t. I was an over comer, coming out of a background of Roman Catholicism (Thyatira). I had found the truth and believed. Sardis which represents the Reformation period, has a name that they live but they are dead. Why were/are they really dead?
I see this as being those from the Reformed and Covenant Churches that claim the name of Christ, but teach that you can lose salvation. If you can lose it, then your salvation was never really based on Christ alone, no matter how much you claim His name and say that you know Him.
My question is this, are the Letters written to the 7 Churches written to all believers, or to all who claim His name, some saved (the over comers), but some that are not saved, being professors only (not overcoming)?
What Does It All Mean?
Published: October 7, 2015 (Originally published: October 10, 2015)Do you know why God decided to create angels and then humans? And then go to all the bother of getting all these events here on Earth and in Heaven to take place?
What is His main drive to do all this? And what is His final expected outcome? And for what reason?
Looking from our position right now we see what’s coming and what’s going to happen, but I’m wondering what is God’s main underlying reason for getting all this to happen?
He must have some outstandingly huge purpose for us in order to put all these events into action. Which brings me to the question why does He require us when he can do everything Himself?
What is our ultimate destiny as His Church?
Everything Is Permissible
Published: October 6, 2015 (Originally published: October 7, 2015)A Kingdom For The Gentiles
Published: October 6, 2015 (Originally published: October 9, 2015)If there is no difference between Jew and Greek, etc, then why is there a difference made between Jew and Gentile? I know that Israel is God’s chosen people. So where do Gentiles fit into all this? Is there really a place in The Kingdom for Gentiles?
Dressed In White
Published: October 6, 2015 (Originally published: October 8, 2015)I have been ask to plan a Sunday when all the ladies in the church will wear white dresses. I feel that when this event is planned that the event should be based in scripture and have a scripture relevance and back ground;the wearing of white should symbolize or provide a link to help worshipers remember a meaningful/useful /encouraging/ promising verse or passage in scripture.
What do you have to guide me in planning this event so that all will want to participate because it encourages them to reflect on Jesus and the promises of life in salvation and heaven. I want this event to be structured so that it is viewed and felt as a Holy -Sprit filled worshipful event.

Our New Name
Published: October 6, 2015 (Originally published: October 7, 2015)I noticed something today while reading Judges 13:17,18 that peaked my interest and connected some dots for me in scripture. The angel of the Lord was visiting Manoah and telling him about the future birth of Samson, and how to raise him in the Lord (summary of vs. 2-16), and Manoah asked the angel his name so that he could honor him when his word about Samson came true. The angel replied, “Why do you ask my name? It is beyond understanding.”
There are other scripture passages where people being addressed by the “angel of the Lord” asked the angel his name. Somewhere else in scripture, maybe you know the reference, the Bible mentions in Heaven we, the raptured saints, will be given new names known only to the Father, perhaps indicative of the personal and unique lessons we learned by being overcomers in Christ?.
Do you think all of these passages somehow tie in the significance of our future names (and how they will be known only to the Father, indicating tremendous intimacy with God) and the nature of our co-servitude to God with the angels?
OSAS & Rewriting the Book of Revelation
Published: October 5, 2015 (Originally published: October 7, 2015)19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
I, like you, believe that we are saved as said in the Bible, by grace through faith and not of ourselves. I don’t think we can earn salvation at all but it is freely given, and it is not ours to give away or lose. In reading Revelation 22 I found the verses above that I need clarification on. Is this a sin that would remove someone who is in the Lamb’s book of Life? Thank you for your Scriptural integrity, may the Lord continue to bless you with wisdom and discernment.

Can You Walk Away From the Lord?
Published: October 5, 2015 (Originally published: October 6, 2015)I heard a pastor say that if we walk away from the Lord and choose not to walk with him anymore that the epistles prove that your going to hell and not Heaven.
I study so hard and try to come to the truth. It is real hard to hear so many different things and they use scripture too and it sounds like it is the truth. We have no church in our rural town that is teaching the truth, the apostasy is here too. We have visited so many churches. It can be frustrating to get to the truth of the Bible with all of this that is going on. I appreciate your site and knowledge of the word of God.
Could you please give me scripture on what it does say if a believer walks away from the Lord. Some also say you don’t lose your salvation, but you can walk away from it and the Lord won’t force you to stay where you don’t want to be.
How Can Jesus Not Know the Date of the Rapture?
Published: October 5, 2015 (Originally published: October 6, 2015)I know the Trinity are One. How can it be possible, that One Part does not know what the Unity of the Trinity knows? Why then the following?
“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father” (Matthew 24:26).
Also, Father God knows everything beforehand – beginning to end. How is it possible that He will not know the day, hour, minute – when the last born-again person will enter His Kingdom, so that the Rapture can take place? Meaning, that the Rapture does have a spesific date and time? Thank you for much time spent in answering everyone’s questions. So much appreciated.
Spirit of Fear

Misquoting Jesus?
Published: October 3, 2015 (Originally published: October 5, 2015)There is a popular book out claiming to tell us what Jesus really said. In the opinion of the author, Jesus never claimed to be God and there is no hell. How would you deal with someone of this ilk that wants to use a lot of flowery language to flatly deny the deity of Christ or anything about Christianity?
Why Study Solomon?

Using I AM to Get Stuff
Published: October 3, 2015 (Originally published: October 5, 2015)Hi Jack, I’m disturbed by something I’ve been seeing a lot of lately, and I was wondering if you could give me your input on it. There is a book that has been around for a while, that essentially tells you to say I AM, followed by whatever “stuff” you want, like money, position, etc.
I’m seeing tons of people not only promoting this teaching, but the book as well. I know that using I AM this way is wrong. But how do I speak to these people about this when some of them are having success they directly attribute to this practice? As always, thank you for your site and for answering my questions. 🙂
More Gap Theory Questions
Published: October 3, 2015 (Originally published: October 4, 2015)Question about the gap theory? Exodus 20:11 states that heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them was created in six days. Wouldn’t this include the angels and Satan? The Garden of Eden?
Wasn’t Satan in the garden of eden at some point in the creation drama? How could he have fallen and been judged and still be the anointed cherub and present in the garden of Eden before his fall.
God said that his creation was GOOD. It was good with a fallen and judged angel hanging around?? That doesn’t make sense to me.
I just recently found your site and have enjoyed your Revelation studies. I just can’t go along with the gap theory though. Why is it needed? It provides nothing and calls God’s word into question.
Three Descriptions Of Jesus In Rev. 22
Published: October 3, 2015 (Originally published: October 4, 2015)In Revelation 22, why Jesus is referenced as three things that sound like three ways of saying the same thing: the first and the last, Alpha and Omega, and the beginning and the end.
I would greatly appreciate getting some insight on the above. Thank you and may God bless you.
The Devil’s Power

Can the devil and his companions appear in different places at a time like Holy Spirit or God?
Can the devil understand the plans of God and His plans for His children?
An Atheist Comment On Prayer
Published: October 3, 2015 (Originally published: October 4, 2015)I was reading something and an atheist made a somewhat good point, and I want to know how to respond it. On the issue of prayer, God responds yes, no, or wait. The atheist said that with this, no matter what you pray to you are going to get the same response. That saying ‘it is in God’s plan’ is an illusion. If what you pray for actually comes it is a coincidence. He continues to say: “People who pray die at the same rate as people who don’t people who pray win the lottery just as often as people who don’t. And that prayer has no effect on events.
Should I Have Divorced Him?
Published: October 2, 2015 (Originally published: October 3, 2015)Thank you so very much for your ministry. My husband and I have been born again Christians for many years, but our marriage has never been good. Now my husband has bladder cancer and I’m not being very supportive. Many years ago he had a relationship outside our marriage. I have always felt that I had forgiven him and I know God has forgiven him but now I’m not so sure about myself.
When all this happened I felt strongly that God wanted me to continue in the marriage, and not divorce, so we continued. All went well for a few years but then everything sort of went back to the way we always were.
Now with his illness I find myself wondering why I didn’t get a divorce in the first place. I’m sure satan is working in my mind. I just have a terrible temper and lash out at my husband all the time. I know this is wrong, but I continue to lose IT. We are both miserable and I want to change my attitude, but everyday seems to end like the last. Thank you for any words of wisdom. I love the Lord with all my heart and so want to be pleasing in His sight.
