Are Soul Mates Biblical?
Published: June 4, 2015 (Originally published: March 28, 2015)I would like to ask you about your opinion on Soul Mates. Is it a purely Romantic notion, or is it a God Ordained one? I know we’re at the brink of the Rapture and the way the world is going you can tell that everything is coming to an end quickly. However I am still very young and wish to find someone I can cleave unto. Should I stop praying for love and focus on the Lord?
Soul Mates
Published: June 4, 2015 (Originally published: June 5, 2015)What is your opinion of the idea that our soul is androgynous when created. And that before our soul is placed in our mother’s womb, it is split into male and female. We become one part and someone else becomes the other part. Therefore, finding our one true love is the actually reunification of our soul. Making the two into one again. I think that is a beautiful thing to believe. But does rejoicing in that belief make it so?
Ark Of The Covenant
Published: June 4, 2015 (Originally published: September 27, 2006)I was recently in a discussion regarding the discovery of the ARK OF THE COVENANT. The person I was talking with said that it had been discovered by a man named Ron Wyatt. What is your take on this? If the Ark had actually been found wouldn’t there be national news about it? I would really appreciate any information you can give me. Thank You for all your efforts and GOD bless you!
Forgiving Myself
Published: June 3, 2015 (Originally published: June 4, 2015)I have been troubled for quite some time. I committed the sin of fornication before I married the man I’m now with although I’ve confessed my guilt and sin to God time and time again I still feel at times some regret over this sin in my life and feel unworthy. Please help! What can I do to completely let go of this regret.
Observing History, More Follow Up
Published: June 3, 2015 (Originally published: June 4, 2015)Re: Observing History. What do you think about Isaiah 65:17? My pastor, a godly man who faithfully preaches verse by verse each week, says that in Heaven we won’t remember anything about our past lives. I think we’ll remember everything but with God’s perspective on everything.
Unforgivable Sin, Follow Up
Published: June 3, 2015 (Originally published: June 4, 2015)Re: Matt. 12:31. I have always understood the unforgivable sin as blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, because when Christ was on earth, the religious leaders were attributing his miracles to demonic powers when they were the product of the Holy Spirit.
Are There Other Gods?
Published: June 3, 2015 (Originally published: March 8, 2009)The 1st commandment says you shall not have any other Gods before him. Does that mean that there are other Gods but we should just not worship them. Me personally I only believe in the God that wrote the commandments. If our earth is only about 6,000 years old and God has been here forever what did he do before those 6,000 years? Thank you
Blessed But Not Married
Published: June 2, 2015 (Originally published: June 3, 2015)Why does it seem as though God is blessing many Christian relationships who are having premarital sex? I know there are plenty of failed and broken families that occur. But there are others where professing Christians (who claim Jesus as their Savior and that He is the only way) are so happy and joyful about a pregnancy in their committed, yet unmarried relationships. I know God doesn’t “discipline” the unsaved, but where is the discipline for those who are His children? What about the principles of sowing and reaping?
Is Being An Introvert A Sin?
Published: June 2, 2015 (Originally published: June 3, 2015)I read an article today about people who are introverts. The description of this seems to fit my personality very much. I stumbled onto your site a few years back and when I read the articles, I feel I want to find a Bible believing church but I have much trouble interacting with people. I never seem to be able to contribute to chit chat conversations, unless the subject is something I am interested in. It’s very awkward for me. In fact, the only time I feel lonely is when I am around people. Now I think this is more sin in my life. Do you have any thoughts on this?
Is There A Difference?
Published: June 2, 2015 (Originally published: June 3, 2015)Is there a difference between committing the unpardonable sin and just not accepting Jesus and dying in sin?
Confirming God’s Answers
Published: June 2, 2015 (Originally published: June 2, 2015)I have yet another question. And to keep it short and simple, who is right when two (or more) Christians disagree about something and everybody is using and/or saying “I’ve prayed about it, God confirmed it, etc.”. Or better yet, what did the disciples/apostles do when they disagreed. And the ironic thing is, is in my case it’s typically church leadership disagreeing with a “mere” laymen church goer.
Observing History
Published: June 2, 2015 (Originally published: June 2, 2015)Recently, you made comments to the effect that departed saints are or will be able to travel back and forth in time observing history. My problem is the lack of scripture support. I’ve thought about this a lot in the past and always come back to the same question. How will God remove our tears if we can see all the people that made the wrong choices in history and are condemned to hell, including the cruelty. I know there seems to be an agreement that we’ll be able to see or understand how God’s plan came together, although I don’t see scripture for that either, but more feasible than observing details that are clearly sad. This sense of sadness really bothers me, how do you explain observing history without extreme sadness?
The Rapture, The Anti-Christ, And The Coming Temple
Published: June 2, 2015 (Originally published: December 4, 2009)I know that the Rapture could occur before I finish typing. That said, (1) According to your chronology, it appears that the Rapture could occur as late as after Psalm 83 and Isaiah 17, but it will occur before Ezekiel 38-39. Is my understanding of your position correct? And (2) Do I understand correctly that the 70th week begins with the appearance of the AC at some unknown time after Ezekiel 38-39?
OSAS And 2 Tim. 2:11-13
Published: June 2, 2015 (Originally published: June 1, 2015)Re: 2 Tim. 2:11-13. I believe in eternal security. Even when we stumble and fall, God will be faithful to his word. But I know many commentaries try to make it sound like if a Christian denies Christ, Christ will turn his back on that Christian. Even in Matthew, Jesus says is someone denies Christ, Christ will deny him before the father. So what is this “denial” referring to since we are eternally secure in Christ?
Was I Saved Then?
Published: June 2, 2015 (Originally published: June 2, 2009)I always thought that I was saved as a child but now I’m not sure. You see, I went to Sunday school as a kid and knew the Bible stories and some songs. Somewhere around the age of 10 I started having nightmares. I would wake up terrified and go into my parents room and crawl into their bed. Finally my mom put her foot down and told me I couldn’t do that anymore. The next night I woke up terrified, went to their room and stood in the doorway wondering what I was going to do. I heard a voice say, “Why don’t you ask Jesus?” so I quietly sang a song I knew that went, “Come into my heart, Lord Jesus. Come in to stay, come in I pray. Come into my heart Lord Jesus.” I was immediately filled with peace and I experienced something like a white light inside me.
Then, as a teenager and much to my regret, I went my own way and lived my own life only turning back to His Lordship many years later. True, many times I saw His hand in my life during that time and I never stopped believing in Him.
So was I saved then? I didn’t ask Him to be my Savior. I didn’t ask for forgiveness of my sins or even acknowledge them. My experience was amazing and something I remember clear as day but I don’t want to rely on my experience as evidence of anything. I am saved now for sure so I’m not worried. But I guess I’m not sure exactly when I was saved.
Live Into The Fire?
Published: June 1, 2015 (Originally published: June 2, 2015)You said at the Second Coming of Jesus, He will gather all the people together and send the believers to repopulate the earth in the Millennium and the unbelievers to eternal judgement. But, they aren’t dead yet. Do you mean they continue to live out their lives knowing that is their destiny or are they killed by the brightness of His coming? What am I missing? And what happens at the end of the Millennium, does Jesus go through the same process all over again?
No Rapture?
Published: June 1, 2015 (Originally published: May 29, 2013)There is a ministry on internet that really caught my eye a couple of months ago. The person spoke a lot about Paul’s epistles and I was very blessed by his articles. However, in one of them he said plainly that there is no rapture and quoted Scripture to backup his claim. This has made me feel depressed and taken my hope away. Please, can you give me the concrete scriptures that say there is a rapture, as I have believed for 40 years.
Who Are The Sleepers?
Published: May 31, 2015 (Originally published: June 1, 2015)In 1 Thess 5:4-11 It talks about being awake and alert, and not being like others who are asleep, because we are of the day, and those who sleep are of the night. But later in the passage it says that Jesus died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we may live together with Him, therefore we are to encourage one another and build each other up. In this latter passage who are the sleepers? Would it be those in the immediate context, which would seem to suggest that some believers could be caught “sleeping” when He comes? Or could it be referring to those who died in Christ, which would be according to the general context of Thessalonians?
Signs Of The Times
Published: May 31, 2015 (Originally published: June 1, 2015)Re: Luke 21:25. What is meant by Perplexity at the waves and sea roaring? Is there some unusual event being foretold here like Tsunamis or is this something else? If so has anything like ever happened ? A storm at sea can be frightful but is a natural phenomena. Does this mean something we have never before seen?
Follow God Or My Parents?
Published: May 31, 2015 (Originally published: November 17, 2008)My friend is going through a hard time of not knowing whether to listen to God’s will or listen to her parents. She believes God is telling her what He has planned for her life. But if she listens to Him, she will need to take major loans for college and her parents don’t want her to go into debt. Her mom is still paying off college loans and has a family to take care of as well. She doesn’t want her daughter to go through the same thing. I’m really concerned for my friend and care about her a lot. She and I both pray about it constantly. Is there any scripture or any advice that could help her situation? She really wants to follow God’s will but finds hurt in disobeying her parents.
Dual Covenant Theology
Published: May 30, 2015 (Originally published: May 31, 2015)I do not believe in Dual Covenant Theology. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” John 14:6. Messianic Jews are part of the church, so they are saved. The scriptures also say that God has a covenant with the Jews and Israel. Although the church age Jews have not acknowledged Jesus as their Savior and therefore are not saved, God has brought them back to the land of Israel. Is it because, although they have not accepted Jesus, God will always keep his covenant with them as His people, whether they believe in Jesus or not?
Understanding Amos 8-9
Published: May 30, 2015 (Originally published: May 31, 2015)For some reason, Amos 8-9 keeps presenting itself to me. When I read these chapters, I’m not sure if they are history or prophecy. Some of it sounds like history. And yet in a few places Amos uses the term “in that day”, a reference to the end times. Is that the case here? Amos 8:9 speaks about the sun going down at noon and the earth being dark. Was this the crucifixion event or is it speaking of a time yet future? And the “time of mourning for an only son”. Is that future? The famine of the hearing of the words of the Lord – is that future or past? Then in the latter part of Amos 9, it speaks of “raising up the fallen booth of David”. I see some partial fulfillment of Verses 11 – 15 today, but there are some things in these verses that seem to point to conditions present in the millennial period. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Building Israel’s Temple
Published: May 30, 2015 (Originally published: May 31, 2015)I understand that in Bible prophecy, the 3rd temple has to be built before anti-Christ appears. Will the rapture takes place before the completion of the temple or after the completion? I saw in a website that the Temple Institute, an organization in charge of the rebuilding of the temple project in Israel, has already started building the 3rd temple. Does it imply that the 3 1/2 years of peace for Israel is coming very soon, say perhaps between the year 2012 to 2015?
Obeying Old Testament Laws And Rituals
Published: May 30, 2015 (Originally published: May 30, 2015)I’ve heard a few preachers say that as Christians, we must observe or maintain certain OT rituals, laws, feasts, etc. I thought that with Christ’s death and sacrifice those were no longer necessary. As born-again believers and Christians, are we to still observe Old Covenant and/or Old Testament laws & rituals?
Is Israel The Bride?
Published: May 30, 2015 (Originally published: May 30, 2015)Recently, I got hit with an interesting interpretation of the bride. This group of people believes that Israel is the bride, they are pre trib believers and they think that we go to heaven to rule there, but that the Lord comes to marry Israel and rule with them on the earth. They had several Old Testament passages to support this view. I brought up the book of Ruth and the typology of Joseph and his gentile bride. Beyond that I am kind of fuzzy on defending the church being the bride. Can you help me with this?
