Israel And Turkey

Published: January 8, 2009 (Originally published: January 7, 2009)
Q

You have said in your Ezekiel 38 studies that a critical sign of that battle’s nearness would be Turkey changing sides and abandoning its alliance with Israel. Is that starting to happen yet?

What’s Turkey Up To?

Published: June 1, 2010 (Originally published: May 31, 2010)
Q

Thanks so much for continuing to answer our questions from a Biblical viewpoint. Is the recent incident in which Israeli naval commandos stormed a flotilla of ships headed for the Gaza Strip a major turning point in prophecy? Sounds to me like Turkey is taking sides with the Palestinians now. What are your thoughts on this?

Gog-Magog Next Or Isaiah 17?

Published: November 20, 2006 (Originally published: November 20, 2006)
Q

Several countries mentioned in Ezekiel 38-39 which make up the upcoming Gog-Magog invasion against Israel are not yet in position. Do you see any evidence of their alignment in the near future from current world events and news? Also, in your view, will Isaiah 17 take place before Gog-Magog?

Magog. Russia Or Turkey? Follow Up

Published: September 26, 2013 (Originally published: September 25, 2013)

Re: Magog. Russia Or Turkey? At the end of your comments you quoted Ezekiel 38:15 and stated that it says “to the land of the ‘far’ North.” I have a King James Bible and it states, “And thou (Gog, vs. 14) shalt come from thy place out of the ‘North parts’.” Thou and many peoples with thee.” What translation do you use to find “far” North? I have always been taught also, that the invasion is from Russia, but this translation (far North) seems to be stretching the meaning a bit.

Sequence Of Mid East Events

Published: October 7, 2008 (Originally published: October 7, 2008)
Q

I’ve heard just about every point of view concerning the Church’s whereabouts before, during and after the War of Gog/Magog, and I came to the conclusion that the Church would almost have to have been raptured beforehand. As I understand it, God would turn to Israel after the departure of the Church. It certainly appears that the time is approaching, with Russia forging its way towards Turkey and ultimately Israel, and Turkey growing impatient at the EU’s stalling of Turkey’s request of EU membership, as well as Russia’s growing aggression throughout the Med. What are your thoughts on this?

The Revived Ottoman Empire?

Published: July 25, 2013 (Originally published: June 1, 2013)

Perspective by Jack Kelley

The Ottoman Empire existed from 1299 until 1922. It was in many respects the Islamic successor to the Eastern leg of the Roman Empire and like the Roman Empire it had its headquarters in Constantinople (Istanbul). At the peak of its power and influence,

Muslim Rule In The End Times

Published: January 4, 2007 (Originally published: January 4, 2007)
Q

I have, for the most part, believed that the Revived Roman Empire would be the seventh world power of Rev 17:9-10, but for the past few years I have been looking at the Ottoman Empire as the seventh empire to rule the world. Since its defeat in the first World War, and although the name “Ottoman” seems to have completely “died” out, the remnant (if it can be so called) has existed in “Islam” and with all of its factions. What is the possibility that in fact the eighth King could be a Revived Islamic Empire, especially considering the current world news and Turkey’s ascent in the peace-making process and its so-called “Gateway” between the East and West, remembering that Rome had two legs, one on the East (Constantinople) and one on the West (Rome)?

I would like to get your thoughts on this World Empire and the current Islamic Revolution (expansion) while considering if possible Rev. 2: and 3: “The letters to the seven Churches. More specifically since all the Churches to my understanding were in Asia Minor (Present-day-Turkey) and it seems that the seat of Satan was/is in Turkey, see for example, the church in Smyrna, and the church in Pergamos. What is the possibility that the Antichrist might come from Turkey instead of Rome? (not that it really matters where he comes from since I believe we won’t be here when he comes on the scene)

Competing For The Title “King Of The North”

Published: June 13, 2010 (Originally published: June 12, 2010)

Commentary by Jack Kelley

“At the time of the end the king of the South will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood.”

Where’s Gog Right Now?

Published: January 22, 2008 (Originally published: January 22, 2008)
Q

If Meshech and Tubal refers to regions of Turkey, and Turkey is a NATO member, and Bush is in a sense the Chief Prince of NATO, then the rabbi’s declaration makes some sense. If Turkey changes its alliances sometime in the future, then the Chief Prince of Meshech and Tubal would then be someone else. Also if in the future, the U.S. is reduced in influence in NATO and Turkey remains in the alliance then the role of Chief Prince would belong to someone else.

The question is where is Gog right now? Is he active on the earth? After he is vanquished, where does he go for the thousand or so years before he reappears? Is it the abyss? Is that where he is now? He is obviously a different personage and spirit than the false prophet and AC since they are in the Lake of Fire during the millennium.

Many thanks for your continuing ministry. For me and I’m sure thousands more its a daily blessing.

Is ISIS A Real Caliphate?

Published: September 8, 2014 (Originally published: September 9, 2014)
Q

I read today that a Muslim Scholars group is going to be uniting for a Caliphate which they believe will be centered in Turkey and that ISIS’s action are not in line with what the Koran describes. What do you make of this? Is this in Ezekiel?
