Still More On The Judgment Seat Of Christ

Published: November 17, 2023 (Originally published: November 10, 2014)
Q

I have always heard that the judgment seat of Christ takes place right after the rapture. When do people that are saved during the tribulation and survive it appear at the judgment seat of Christ?

Our Careless Words

Published: April 8, 2015 (Originally published: April 9, 2015)
Q

I listened to a respected Bible/prophecy teacher tell the audience how Christians will be judged at the Bema seat for careless words. How he arrived at that conclusion mystifies me–all of our sins/careless words/hurtful behavior were judged at the cross. I understand that Jesus will judge our “Good Works;” not our behavior. I shook my head. He is absolutely wrong. How can a man well versed in the Bible come up with this?? Have I missed something?

Fearful Of Judgment

Published: September 24, 2020 (Originally published: September 10, 2012)
Q

In Romans 14:10, Is. 45:23, and II Cor. 5:10 the judgement seat is mentioned. All will stand before the judgement seat of Christ and everyone of us shall give an account of himself to God. How and for what will the believer be held responsible? What does standing before the judgement seat of Christ mean for the believer? It sounds like a very fearful occasion.

Who’s Going Where?

Published: January 16, 2016 (Originally published: January 17, 2016)
Q

1 Thessalonians 4:14 says God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. Verse 16 says that the Lord will descend from heaven (so, he’s on the way down) when the dead in Christ rise first then the following verse has those who are alive being caught up to meet him in the air. My question is who is he bringing with him (verse 14) and where is he bringing them?

This sequence of events doesn’t make sense to me. How can he bring them with him if they meet him in the air? It appears that the verse has him “bringing” those who died in Jesus with him when he returns to meet the living only to turn around and take everyone back to Heaven for the Marriage supper and the bema seat. Please enlighten me.

Martyrs And Saints

Published: March 26, 2015 (Originally published: March 26, 2015)
Q

Scripture tell us that man is appointed once to die and then judgment. The Bema seat is for the Bride and the great white throne is for all those whose names are not found in the Book of Life. When do the tribulation martyrs/ saints receive their judgment and also the old testament saints?

More On The Bema Seat Judgment

Published: August 16, 2010 (Originally published: August 15, 2010)
Q

Thank you so much for your ministry. Not a day passes by that I don’t check out your site and read your articles and questions answered. One topic that I constantly think about is the Judgment Seat of Christ. I understand that only believers will be at this judgment but I am confused as to what will be addressed. Will all of my sins as a believer be brought out at this judgment?

Will other believers in heaven be watching me go through this judgment or will it be between me and the Lord alone? I have read where you stated that our works as a believer will be judged and rewards given accordingly but what about all our failures in this life? I struggle with sin every day and feel like such a failure as a christian. Should I fear this judgment or should I look forward to it? I am really confused.

Judgment For Believers?

Q

I am seeing more and more that when we go to salvation judgment seat, God/Jesus may punish us for not doing good work here on earth. Is that true? I thought we should have faith and be saved, but is there another judgment?

Are We Really Forgiven?

Published: March 6, 2024 (Originally published: February 24, 2013)
Q

I was surfing the net, when I came upon a site where someone wrote with concerns about our sins not really being forgiven. The respondent quoted II Cor. 5:10, saying we’ll have to give an accounting of what we’ve done on earth, whether good or bad. I thought God has forgiven all our sins. What gives?

What Happens At The Bema Seat Judgment?

Published: June 12, 2015 (Originally published: June 1, 2010)
Q

Thank you for always being there for all of us! I’m so glad that we have you. When we go in the Rapture and are at the Bema Seat judgment, are we going to be going over the what we did good and what we did bad things? Are we going to be in a bad way for maybe some things we could have done better? Are our lives going to be sifted through like the White Throne judgments? I asked this because of what some kids were told at youth group that really frightened them.

Could you please explain what this verse means?

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what He has done, whether good or bad.” (2 Corinthians 5:10)
