What Does If Mean?

Published: July 15, 2014 (Originally published: January 1, 2012)
Q

Once again I am so thankful for your site, everyday I learn and get a deeper understanding of the Word. My question is on Colossians 1: 21-23. I believe in OSAS but Paul’s use of “if” in verse 23 has me confused as it seems like a salvation issue. Can you help?

Who Will Be Left To Fight?

Published: July 14, 2014 (Originally published: July 14, 2014)
Q

Please help me understand how there will be people capable of even gathering for the battle of Armageddon. I know it will happen because that is what God stated. I’m just having problems figuring out how. How enough unbelieving people would have survived to get to that point since by then a lot has happened. I just see a world completely destroyed by the wrath of God’s judgments, natural disasters & good vs evil world wars; unbelievers on the verge of death due to the demonic bug bites, no drinking water, and people hiding in caves just for survival & living in complete fear.

Wealth In the Millennium?

Published: July 14, 2014 (Originally published: July 14, 2014)
Q

Here’s a question that has bothered me for some time: if the nations in which Israel had been living for some 2000 years are to be destroyed, what sort of “wealth” are we talking about that would be brought into her during the Millennium? Consider that there would in all likelihood be NO world economy at all, and even if there were a few commercial aircraft, that would be capable of flying, who would be left to even repair or maintain them? I am assuming that no boats would be available as Revelation speaks of their destruction, and to go by land from America would be a stunningly arduous journey if the seas were all dried up and only land travel would be possible.

One Day Equals 1000 Years?

Published: July 13, 2014 (Originally published: July 13, 2014)
Q

I’m not a new Christian and I know a lot about the Bible, but I have never in my life heard the interpretation that Hosea 6:2 means the Church Age will last 2000 years and then the Lord will return to establish His Kingdom. . The one I’ve heard is that Hosea 6:2 will be fulfilled during the Tribulation in a literal three days and on the third one Christ will return. Where does this other idea come from?

A Millennium Question

Published: July 13, 2014 (Originally published: July 13, 2014)
Q

Regarding Rev 20:1-3 The Millenial Reign, I don’t understand something. Where are we, who have been faithful to Jesus all of our lives during this time period? I gave my life to Christ and am a firm believer. If Satan is released during the 1000 years, and there’s enough sin left in the heart of man, do I have to fight this battle with myself all over again? OR, do we who have accepted Jesus sacrifice get to rule with Him and be protected from Satan’s lies during the millennium? Please clarify for me.

Q.During the Millennium, the Church will be in the New Jerusalem, home of the redeemed. But read Rev. 20:7 again. “When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison.” According to this verse Satan will not be released until the end of the millennium. Even so, once we’ve been raptured and given our perfected bodies, our fight with sin will be over. We will have overcome the world, just like the Lord did.

The sinful men Satan will recruit at the end of the Millennium (Rev. 20:8) will be descendants of survivors of the Great Tribulation who will go into the Millennium in their natural state to re-populate the Earth. This is foretold in Matt. 25.31-36. These descendants will have rejected the Lord and will have refused to allow His death to pay for their sins. When Satan is released they will be fair game for his deception and will join his final attempt to claim planet Earth as his own. Fire will come down from heaven

Who’s Responsible? Follow Up

Published: July 12, 2014 (Originally published: July 12, 2014)
Q

Re: Who’s Responsible For This. I believe, Father God had a “blueprint” of everything that was going to happen to our world. Before something happens, He knows. Therefore, did He not know us by our names, who we were going to be, everything that was going to happen in our lives, etc, even before we were “a twinkling in our parent’s eyes”, and not only from conception?

More On The Parable Of The Wedding Banquet

Published: July 12, 2014 (Originally published: July 12, 2014)
Q

Re: Saved From The Worst But Kept From The Best? When you wrote about the man being ejected from the wedding feast, you said “He hadn’t kept himself pure and had lost his salvation. When the Lord returned, he tried to gain entrance into the Kingdom in his own clothing (on the strength of his own righteousness) without the righteousness imputed to him by faith (the wedding clothes). He was discovered and ejected.” This man was already at the wedding feast. How then did someone who God knew was not a Christian get into Heaven in the first place? Am I reading this incorrectly?

I’ve been researching the term outer darkness lately. There are many sites on the ‘net that bring in this wedding crasher man into this phrase, and a lot of them suggest that Christians who do not get any crowns, or lazy Christians who have no reward are thrown into the outer darkness. No matter where I search, I keep getting conflicting ideas and different opinions. It seems as though no one has a clear answer. To say this has me perplexed is putting it mildly.

Salvation And Judgment

Published: July 10, 2014 (Originally published: June 2, 2011)
Q

Do the unbelievers before the Salvation message of Jesus have any hope of having a choice of accepting Jesus at the Judgement Seat? I am referring to pagans and Romans. And are the sins of the Priests who put Jesus to death knowing that he was the son of God ever forgiven? And being that our sins were forgiven as believers, what are we accountable to at the judgement where we stand before God and remember all our sins?

Will They Remember Us?

Published: July 10, 2014 (Originally published: January 29, 2012)
Q

You may have answered this, but after the Rapture people will be left behind. Will they have a memory of us, or will they be confused about where we all went, and go out and start looking for us. I believe some will know what happened to us but a lot won’t know.

More On The Millennium

A Bible Study by Jack Kelley

The recent re-posting of my article on Restoring Planet Earth has sparked some new interest in the Millennium. Many people find it hard to understand how such a seemingly perfect beginning could deteriorate into a massive rebellion at the end. The simple answer is “natural man” but let’s take a more comprehensive look.

The Millennium. More Follow up

Q

Once again you have stated that the Jewish people will return to the Old Covenant and sacrifice animals in the temple. I do agree that they will during the first half of Daniel’s 70th week, but don’t agree that those who accept Jesus as their Messiah and survive unto the Millennium will continue in that ritual. I believe that a new covenant will be made between God and man that will not include blood sacrifice. Jesus made the ultimate blood sacrifice for all pre- and post- Rapture believers.

Muslims Against Muslims?

I have a question regarding the end times going forward and the events that we see taking place in the Middle East. Not so much between the Jews and Muslims, on that I am pretty clear. Is this expected and where in the Bible do we get an explanation of the ongoing battles between the Muslim groups and all of the fighting which appears to be evolving into a full out civil war or Sunni vs Shia?

Re: More On the Millennium. When the church comes back w/Jesus on the white horses and we see him victorious in the battle of Armageddon….I have been told that we will stay on the earth in the millennial kingdom working for Jesus. If that’s right (and please correct me if it’s not), will the church be scattered around the world working or will we stay in Israel w/Jesus? If we are working everywhere, what will it be like for someone who may be working in an area that undergoes a plague or something? I don’t assume we will be suffering but I guess I never thought about trials and hardships after we are raptured…..is that something we may experience?

I was in a Bible study last week and a close friend of ours indicated that she never prays to Jesus. Instead, she only prays to God. I found this confusing. How can one be intimate with Jesus and not pray to Him? Can someone have this attitude and still be saved?

Leaving Our Bodies Behind?

Published: July 7, 2014 (Originally published: July 8, 2014)
Q

Thinking of how the news media is pushing the idea for at least the last 20 years of a World Wide Pandemic, and that there are many movies and a new hit TV show on the subject, I have been thinking that the public is primed and ready for this to happen. Why would we take our bodies to meet Jesus and leave just our clothes? I am convinced that will not happen. I think the strong delusion will be the millions of raptured saints bodies passed off as the coming worldwide pandemic. Someone will have to step up to calm those left behind and clean up the mess. Am I off base, and if not, why is everyone saying that only empty clothing will be left? I have never heard anyone say millions of bodies will be everywhere and it will be an international disaster. Is there anyone out there who thinks this way, besides me?

Are Things Different Now?

Published: July 5, 2014 (Originally published: July 31, 2009)
Q

Over the years I’ve experienced some life disappointments, and because of this my mind has been plagued with doubts. So, I’ve been searching the New Testament to try to see what I need to do for the Lord to make Himself real to me. I have a Jewish Christian friend who feels convinced that the Jewish Law is to be obeyed for Sanctification and Maturing.

I realize the Apostles specified to gentiles of their day, only the most basic moral and health guidelines to follow. St. Paul also admonished Jews not to mingle obedience to the law with Salvation. It might have been reasonable to expect less of gentiles of that time, because of circumstances, and to simplify matters for them and the Jews. Also, it would have been impossible at that time for gentiles to practice the law, because of various circumstances. Is it possible that conditions being different now, Christ might want gentile Christians to practice the Jewish Law?

Acts 3:21 And The Rapture

Published: July 5, 2014 (Originally published: May 24, 2008)
Q

Like you I support the Pre-Tribulation Rapture of the Church. However Acts 3:21 has always presented a problem where Peter states that Messiah has to remain in heaven until the period of restoration (restitution) of all things. If ‘all things’ implies the restoration of creation, then that will plainly not be the condition prevailing on earth if we are correct in our understanding of the Pre-Tribulation rapture This was highlighted by a visiting Messianic Jewish speaker at our assembly last evening. He used to accept the Pre-Trib: view but now believes that the Church will go through the Tribulation, based on Acts 3:21.

Where Is The Discernment?

Published: July 5, 2014 (Originally published: June 19, 2008)
Q

In regards to the Florida revival, I thank you for your concise scripture based responses and rebuttals to what they are doing. I became a Christian in my 30’s and God has blessed me with a fierce “show me in the bible” mentality. If it cannot be proven and not proof texted or scripture twisted from the Bible, I will have none of it and this is what amazes me. How could Christians who go to this not see it for what it is? It seems so blatantly wrong. I thought everyone was given the gift of discernment when they accepted Christ as their Savior. Then, I saw Pastors going up to “get what they believe is the Holy Spirit”. How, if you have the Holy Spirit in you, can you (pastors especially since they would have had to go to seminary and should know their bible) be deceived like that?
