Who Was Balaam?

Published: April 3, 2016 (Originally published: April 15, 2016)
Q

I always took it for granted that Balaam, son of Beor was a descendant of Shem, the godly line of Noah. I assumed he was a descendant of Eber (hebrew speaking), and had some insight into Jehovah. It says in Numbers 31:8 the Israelites killed the kings of Midian, including Balaam, the son of beor. Also, are the Midianites the sons of Japheth/Madai from Genesis 10:2?

Saved, But Not In Church

Published: April 2, 2016 (Originally published: April 12, 2016)
Q

I know without a doubt I’m saved by grace and I have accepted Jesus Christ as MY personal savior. I believe I’m from Philadelphia (the one in Revelation 3 that John speaks about). Please explain this sentence from your study on Re. 2-3 (Epilogue). “And don’t be surprised when you’re joined (in the rapture) by some who were Catholic, some who were Protestant, some conservatives and some liberals and even some who didn’t appear to belong to any church at all.” Do you mean that some will be saved that have not been to church?

The White Stone

Published: April 3, 2016 (Originally published: April 14, 2016)
Q

I was reading C.S.Lewis this week and in one of his books he said that the white stone we will be given by Jesus when we reach heaven will be the only possession we will have in heaven. Private ownership evidently will not exist. God will (and does) own everything except that white stone with a new name on it which only yourself and Jesus will know. It must be a very precious thing Do you have any comments or teaching on this White Stone?

The Importance Of Being Born Again

Published: April 2, 2016 (Originally published: April 12, 2016)
Q

Thank you for your interesting site. You have probably covered this but I would appreciate your opinion on why Jesus was so adamant that in John 3:3 and 5 we must be born of water and the spirit or we cannot enter the Kingdom of God. Is it your view that this is pertaining to the rapture and the withdrawing of the Holy Spirit from earth? If so ,will those ‘nominal’ christians who have not been born again be unable to be raptured?

Where Did Jesus Get The Blood?

Published: April 2, 2016 (Originally published: April 13, 2016)
Q

In Why Couldn’t Mary Hold Him you said Jesus carried His own blood into the Temple in Heaven. Where did Jesus get the blood? Since after the resurrection, the glorified body of Jesus is ‘Flesh and Bones’? And he said unto them, “Why are you troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit has not flesh and bones, as you see me have.” And when he had thus spoken, he showed them his hands and his feet. (Luke 24:38-40)

Did God Approve This?

Published: April 2, 2016 (Originally published: April 12, 2016)
Q

Did the Lord command the building of the Temple that will be built before or during the tribulation? Do you think Christians should financially support the building of that Temple? I recently read that the Lord did not sanction that Temple and maybe I shouldn’t be sending money there. I am a little confused, because in reading Ezekiel, when the Lord is giving all the measurements for the Temple, it seems to me that He does sanction it. Isn’t this the Temple where Jesus will come when He returns?

Will God Forgive Them?

Published: April 5, 2016 (Originally published: April 13, 2016)
Q

My children refuse to forgive me for something terrible I did many years ago. I do not want their failure to forgive me held against them. If I ask the Lord not to hold that sin against them, as He did on the cross, will God not hold it against them?

More Questions About Heaven

Published: April 1, 2016 (Originally published: April 8, 2016)
Q

I visit your web site often. It’s great! One question… You say that people who are in heaven can see what is going on here on earth. God says there will be no tears or sadness in heaven. Seems to me if they can see us it would indeed make them sad with tears to see the millions that are lost….Not to mention the suffering.

Explaining Jeremiah 27

I was just wondering if you could explain the prophecy in Jeremiah 27:19-22 for me. Was that fulfilled with Jesus or is it a 2nd coming prophecy?

Giving Account Follow Up

Published: April 1, 2016 (Originally published: April 10, 2016)
Q

Regarding a previous answer on Giving Account to the Lord: I think I’m going to be sweeping the streets of gold because I probably haven’t had a pure motive for anything in my life. I’m certain every good thing I’ve ever done is going to be burned like dead grass. It makes me sad, though. I wish I could have a truck load of crowns to throw at the Lord’s feet when I’m with him, but I’m afraid I’m going to stand before him speechless and then fall on my face. What can I say?
