No Longer Consciously Sin?

Published: July 14, 2015 (Originally published: July 14, 2015)
Q

I recently got into a very bad argument with someone who told me that they no longer consciously sin which threw me off. I brought up 1 John 1:8, but they said that I was wrong about my use of the verse. They got upset when I brought up something they had done to me in the past and essentially called me a liar because they no longer consciously sin and  wouldn’t have done that.  Is it really possible to no longer consciously sin?

Witnessing To A Jewish Person

Published: July 5, 2015 (Originally published: July 6, 2015)
Q

I have a dear friend who is an Orthodox Jew. My attempts to witness just bounce off those inch-thick scales on his stubborn eyes. He’s quite intellectual and a big reader, so I’d like to find a good, thought-provoking book on Jesus/the gospel to send him. Anything come to mind?

Am I Right In Considering Leaving My Church?

Published: July 6, 2015 (Originally published: July 7, 2015)
Q

Over this past year I’ve noticed many changes in my local church. I’ve seen decisions made by the Pastor alone that have both concerned and forced me to take a close look at the way things are changing. Most of these issues do not pertain to the actual preaching of God’s Word  but have caused me to have a deep concern for keeping this Pastor as my local Shepard.  I believe from scriptures, that the biblical foundation of the church is being compromised and I’m considering leaving this congregation over it.  Am I right in considering leaving for these reasons?

Q

Who were the many holy people in Matthew 27:52?  Are these the Old testament saints, like David, Daniel, Moses, Abraham, Jacob, etc?  Are the rest of the Old testament characters in Heaven also?  Was Paradise taken out of Sheol and moved to Heaven at this event?

Q

I like telling my (mainly christian ) friends good jokes and observing them laugh. I don’t tell jokes that are obscene. Do good , clean jokes fall into the realm of jesting in Ephesians 5:4.

The Spirit Cannot Be With Them?

Published: July 8, 2015 (Originally published: July 8, 2015)
Q

My friend teaches that if a person is wrong and unteachable about ancillary Bible subjects, such as Spiritual gifts, the dispensations, the sin nature, etc, that the person is filled with lies and the spirit is not with them.

Is there any truth to his statement? “A person who teaches incorrectly about spiritual things can not be saved, because the spirit cannot be with them.”

What Did Satan Actually Know?

Published: July 14, 2015 (Originally published: July 7, 2015)
Q

You’ve said that Satan didn’t know God planned on Jesus being put to death for our sins or he would have done everything in his power to stop it. Isaiah 53 is a prophecy of Jesus’s payment for our sins, so how is it possible that Satan didn’t know God’s plan of redemption prior to the Crucifixion? Didn’t he read the Bible?

More On The Mark of the Beast

Published: July 8, 2015 (Originally published: July 9, 2015)
Q

There are some well known bible teachers that say salvation is possible even after one has taken the mark of the beast. I believe that scripture teaches that once someone takes the mark, they have sworn allegiance to the antichrist and their end is eternal separation from God. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on this. Thank you

Q

Could you tell me where you stand on the topic of “right to die?” And also what might be in the scriptures to support or deny this kind of choice someone could be facing in their terminal illness. Thank you and God bless you and all that you do in teaching others the Lord’s word.

Pray Your Flight Won’t Be In The Winter

Q

What do you think Jesus is trying to tell us here on Mar.13:18? It makes it sound as if His people have the option of changing the times as to when the time to flee will come during the great tribulation.
