Are The Four Horsemen Already Here?

Published: January 15, 2011 (Originally published: January 14, 2011)
Q

I have always agreed with your interpretation of the Seal Judgments in Revelation, but lately I’m wondering if we may be seeing them opened, with what’s going on in the world as we read this. The rider on the white horse could be the rise of radical Islam, as it has all but taken over much of Europe, Asia, and Africa; the red horse, signifying war, is becoming apparent; the black horse, representing famine, is emerging with increasing global food shortages, riots, and starvation; the pale horse, signifying death by disease, is on the horizon, with the emergence of countless super-bugs, and plagues. But I ask myself: what of the Rapture? Is it possible that we may have misinterpreted scripture? I realize we could be just seeing a foretaste of what is to come, but I can’t help but wonder. I covet your thoughts, please.

The Book Of Life, Follow Up

Published: January 17, 2011 (Originally published: January 16, 2011)
Q

In a recent article on the Book of Life you said only the church will be listed in the Lamb’s Book of Life, which is different from the original Book of Life. Won’t those who come to faith during the trib/great trib also be written in the Lambs Book of Life?

Q

Would you be kind enough to re-visit the word “MARK” as translated from the Greek with your usual excellent commentary/sources? Also, what about the word “BEAST??” Is a similar Greek word used in other sections of the New Testament?

Elenin, Feast Of Trumpets, And The Rapture

Published: August 16, 2011 (Originally published: August 15, 2011)
Q

I read recently that there is a comet Elenin that will cause 3 days of darkness during the 28-30 of Sept and the Jews celebrate the feast of the trumpets on 29 Sept when the new Moon is revealed, which may be a possible time for the rapture to occur since no man knows the day or hour because of the darkness and the Lord has fulfilled all the spring feasts in His first coming and will probably fulfill the rapture on the feast of the trumpets.

Can My Grandmother Still Be Saved?

Published: August 16, 2011 (Originally published: August 15, 2011)
Q

Would you tell me if there is any biblical basis for my belief that prayers for the softening of a person’s heart who has already died will be heard from God and accepted? My understanding and view is that God is Lord of the Past, Present and Future; that he exists beyond my comprehension, over and above any time constraints. Because I view him thus, I believe that my prayers for a softening of my late grandmother’s heart that will lead to her salvation combined with the belief that God desires all to be saved can lead to an intervention in her life by the Lord such that her belief will turn towards him. I’ve asked other Christians what they think about praying for dead loved one’s salvation and have been told by some that ‘what’s done is done and you can’t pray for someone who is already dead’ , but others have agreed with my view and think anything is possible with God. Biblically, which view is correct?

Salvation During The Millennium

Published: August 17, 2011 (Originally published: August 16, 2011)
Q

A question was raised in our Sunday School class concerning the Holy Spirit and how people will be saved during the Millennium. One person stated they thought there was a verse that since Jesus will be reigning on the earth during this time, the Holy Spirit will not be on the earth. I believe you have stated that the Age of Grace will not exist during the Millennium, that those saved will not be sealed by the Holy Spirit, as we are today. Would you please elaborate on this issue? I’d like to provide some insight to the class.

The Number Of The Church

Published: August 5, 2011 (Originally published: August 4, 2011)
Q

Like you, I believe that the rapture is a number based event rather than a date based one. With that in mind is there any indication in all the books of the Bible as to what that number might be? Could the 24 elders, representing the raptured church in the book of Revelation 4:4 , give us a clue as to the final number of believers? Or is there another meaning attached to this number of elders?

More On Marriage In Heaven

Published: August 6, 2011 (Originally published: August 5, 2011)
Q

I read the work online of a preacher who said he went to heaven, and he found that people there did have “partners” whom they lived with, to whom they were perfectly suited. These people did not have sex as we know it, but their celestial bodies blended into one at times. Whether or not this is actual, it is a lovely idea, and I hope it is true for those who would like to live that way. I miss my “soul mate” and would like to share his mansion. And share with him whatever God would like us to share. What do you think?
