Will Psalm 83 Precede Ezekiel 38?

Published: May 25, 2011 (Originally published: May 24, 2011)
Q

I read a newsletter on the pre-trib rapture and it had something in there about Psalm 83 that got me a little confused. Most of the bible teachers I have read believe Psalm 83 is a prophetic war where Israel destroys her surrounding neighbors making the way for the peace and security before Ezekiel 38, however this newsletter disagrees. It says there is no specific indication that it will happen before Ezekiel 38. What do you think?

Q

Why is it that the 144,000 are so frequently referred to as Jews when in reality they are 12,000 from each tribe of Israel including Judah?

This Life Or The Next One?

Published: April 27, 2015 (Originally published: May 26, 2011)
Q

I have a question of a rather practical nature. I am currently finishing up my Masters degree in mech. engineering and have begun job searching. It’s difficult for me to reconcile the reality of our short time left with the “same-old” job advice from professors, and friends who do not see the fulfillment of prophecy quite the same. Both my wife and I would like to do some sort of missions work, however I have a relatively small amount of student debt and she is still in school. I imagine I am one of a growing number wondering how to balance life on this earth with preparing for our real Home. Any godly wisdom would be appreciated.

One World Government

Published: May 28, 2011 (Originally published: May 27, 2011)
Q

I’ve heard the bible mentions that the world will one day accept a one-world government. Does that mean that the conspiracy theorists are right to say that the Bilderberg Group / Illuminati will be a global government, and thus the Illuminati was prophesied in Rev 13:3?

The Tribulation Saints Are Not Sealed, Follow Up

Published: May 30, 2011 (Originally published: May 29, 2011)
Q

A while back, I read something you wrote about Tribulation saints NOT sealed by the Holy Spirit, but recently, I happened upon something in my reading Revelation. In Chapter 9, it talks about the plague of locusts, with tails of scorpions. And the locusts are sent to sting ONLY those who DON’T have the seal of God in their forehead. (Revelation 9:4). Is that different than being sealed by the Holy spirit? If so, how?

Is God Using The Weather To Judge Us?

Published: May 30, 2011 (Originally published: May 29, 2011)
Q

I live near Joplin, MO where an F5 tornado struck last weekend. Please help me because I know as I go to Joplin and help with our church I will be asked why God allowed this to happen, and I would like to be able to answer them from God’s word. We don’t know why God allows storms or stops storms or why they hit where they do. But He is in control of them and He sees the big picture and He’s God who are we to question Him, so basically I feel confused. Also there are a lot of people saying that when disaster strikes it’s God’s judgment on their sin and if that’s the case wouldn’t all of us need to take cover because we are all sinners?

Is God Using Weather, Follow Up

Published: June 1, 2011 (Originally published: May 31, 2011)
Q

In the question Is God Using Weather To Judge Us you said:

“You can make a circumstantial case from the Bible that it had never even rained on Earth before the Great Flood. Extreme weather is one of the enduring consequences of that judgment,”

Can you develop the answer a little more? I have some difficulties in finding support in the Bible.

Whatever Happened To Living A Godly Life?

Published: February 8, 2014 (Originally published: May 31, 2011)
Q

I have been struggling with something for a while now, and I can’t quite get over it. It deals with the fact that I see even my fellow Christian women blatantly ignoring the way God would have us live. I see them dressing immodestly, even at church, and obsessing over television shows that are either raunchy or irrelevant. I feel uppity and self-righteous even thinking these things, because I certainly am not without sin and I’m not nearly a prude either. But at times I feel completely surrounded by people who are choosing worldly ways over God’s ways.

Sad For My Unbelieving Friends And Family

Published: June 7, 2015 (Originally published: June 1, 2011)
Q

I know Jesus is my Savior, and long for His return. I see so many of my friends and family who don’t feel the same way, and am sad for them. The situation in my life now is such that I am choosing to lean on Him more than ever. But I got a comment from my cousin that caused me to pause and think. She wrote, “I’d be hesitant to associate myself with another being [Jesus] who refers to his followers as ‘sheep’, or thinks good people who don’t know him should suffer.” I know that Jesus’ love is offered freely to all, and that He doesn’t want any of us to suffer, but we must choose to follow Him. I’ve made up my mind, and I think she has also, but what can I tell her?

Are There Any Clearer Signs?

Published: May 14, 2011 (Originally published: May 13, 2011)
Q

From what I understand, the Jewish people were given a pretty specific time/date as to when Jesus would appear the first time. And as the “being caught up” (I really don’t like using the term rapture) draws near or even tomorrow, I was wondering, since God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, wouldn’t it make sense for Him to give us some clearer indications of the actual event? I’m not trying to predict anything with regards to the day, month, year, etc. but more trying to find in Scripture something that coincides with His being the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
