Will The Jews Heed The Warning?

Published: May 19, 2011 (Originally published: May 18, 2011)
Q

I’ve been taught that Jews have no belief in the New Testament or it’s prophecies. At the time of the Abomination of Desolation the Jews will have returned to their covenant relationship with God but that wouldn’t include belief in Jesus as the Messiah. How then could Jesus’ warning to flee to the mountains in Matthew 24:15-16 be heeded by the Jews of that time if they don’t accept the New Testament or its prophecies?

Who Really Controls The Palestinians?

Published: May 20, 2011 (Originally published: May 19, 2011)
Q

We really appreciate your insight on current events from a Biblical perspective. Based on what we read in secular reports, who do you believe is really determining the direction of the Palestinians? Is it the king of the North or is it the king of the South?

Help! Our Churches Are Failing Us!

Published: March 30, 2015 (Originally published: May 19, 2011)
Q

What does a person do that lives in a small town that doesn’t have a church that teaches the truth? I have a group of 5 friends that all go to different churches and we all are all experiencing the same thing. The Bible is either watered down, false doctrine is preached, or busy things are done that completely leave out the Word. The Bible says that we are not to forsake the assembling together. We meet and study God’s Word in our homes and still go to church but leave empty, mad, and confused. We long to hear God’s Word but it is not to be found. Have you any suggestions to our situation?

Should We Pray For These?

Published: May 23, 2011 (Originally published: May 22, 2011)
Q

On many sites with trusted doctrine and even at church, Christians are urged to pray for Israel, America, the Palestinians, Muslims, the American Dollar, etc. Why should we pray for a predestined event that God said in the Bible will happen? It seems that would show a lack of faith in His word. All of these things have been prophesied about and prayer isn’t going to change it. I pray for God’s will and His mercy. Am I missing something?

The May 21 Rapture Mistake

Published: May 24, 2011 (Originally published: May 23, 2011)
Q

I read the news about a man named Harold Camping saying that the rapture would happen on May 21, 2011. He predicted wrong last September 1994, says he calculated wrong, but now says he is correct. I know his prediction is not scriptural, because the Bible says no one knows the day or hour. I’d like your opinion about this.

A Rapture Of The Wicked?

Published: April 27, 2015 (Originally published: May 23, 2011)
Q

Media has given a lot of attention to this prediction that the world would end May 21. Recently, they interviewed a new testament professor and minister about it. He said that Christians are wrong about the rapture, that the wording means “taking away” and has always meant the wicked. He said God took the wicked away during Noah’s time and what Christians call “the rapture” is actually talking about taking away the wicked. He also said that the idea of a rapture is a new idea, that the early Christians didn’t believe in it. Please address this, as I have been waiting expectantly since I became a Christian.
