Q. How does grace after the Rapture work? The Holy Spirit is removed from the Earth, so what are the conditions of being saved during that time? Do those left behind still simply have to confess and believe that the Lord died for the sins? Or is it something different? Something more? Read Post »

Q. Our pastor has taken up preaching about prayer and fasting lately rather than just prayer alone. He gave a passionate message on the power of fasting in conjunction with prayer citing several examples in scripture from the disciples who couldn’t cast a demon (where Jesus said that it was only by prayer and fasting that this demon be cast out) to the story of Jonah and the city of Nineveh.
We regularly see a call to prayer which is great, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a leader call a collective fast whether in government or in the church. Today, our pastor posted messages from past US Presidents who had called for a national day prayer and fasting, saying that we as Christians used to include fasting as a major portion of our worship and growing our faith. Q. I was teaching a Sunday school class for adults yesterday and two very difficult subjects came up. One person asked me if Satan did not tempt Adam and Eve in the garden, could they have eventually sinned on their own. The second was a statement that all sins are a result of Satan or his demons tempting us. My position was that we are sometimes tempted of our own desires, but this was not well received. Can you shed some light on this for me? Read Post »

Q. I understand from my studies that there are 3 groups of saints, Old testament saints who believed in a coming Messiah, Church saints, who come to the Lord between Pentecost and the Rapture, and Tribulation Saints who believe in Him after the Rapture but before the 2nd Coming.
When is each group given glorified bodies? I know that the Church/Bride is given glorified bodies at the Rapture - but what about the others? And where do we/they all reside in the years between the (pre-trib) Rapture and the New Heaven & Earth after the Millennium? Read Post »

Q. I am struggling with an issue that has come up repeatedly on our message board recently. It arose again with the news of Ahmadinejad possibly taken ill. Some are posting prayer requests for him, some have prayed for his death, so you see the extremes. I find it impossible to pray for healing for men like him and Nasrallah, Kim Jung Il. I wonder if you can give me insights on just how far ”pray for your enemies, bless them that curse you” goes for Christians. Read Post »

Q. I have a question about 2 Chronicles 35:20-21, why did King Josiah go out to fight against Pharaoh Neco? From my understanding the Lord was behind and even commanding Neco in this battle against Carchemish…why would Josiah get involved? Read Post »

Q. I must confess that I don’t read Scripture as much as I should, and that every time I try to start reading the Bible anew, there’s always some ”convenient” excuse that comes up.
I want to grow and start eating spiritual meat instead of milk, but the major problem I have is where to start. Should someone first go through beginning to end or start with the Gospels and work through the New Testament first? Do you have any advice on how to proceed if someone is stuck in this Biblical rut like I am? Thank you for your wonderful website. Read Post »

Q. In your Q+A “Another Dispensation?” you said, “The primary difference between Law and Grace was that before the cross a believer was required to express his or her faith by keeping the Law.” [last sentence].
What do you mean by “keeping the Law” ? James 2:10 says - For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it. Read Post »

He has set his foundation on the holy mountain; the LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. Glorious things are said of you, O city of God:
“I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me—Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush and will say, ‘This one was born in Zion.’ “
Indeed, of Zion it will be said, “This one and that one were born in her, and the Most High himself will establish her.” The LORD will write in the register of the peoples: “This one was born in Zion.” As they make music they will sing, “All my fountains are in you.” Read Post »
