About Our Site
gracethrufaith.com is a non-denominational, non-church, Christian ministry dedicated to providing believers with a deeper understanding of the whole counsel of God through His revealed word.
About the Author
Jack Kelley is a Christian writer with several books to his credit, including Children’s Stories of the Bible, The Adult Version, Seven Things You Have To Know To Understand End times Prophecy, and The Redeemer. His book entitled “The Seven Churches Chronicle” is a commentary on Revelation 2-3 that appears in eBook form on this website and is based on a research trip to Turkey and Greece, where he visited the actual sites of these churches as well as other prominent New Testament locations.
Jack was a successful management consultant who “grew up” in a main line denomination but 25 years ago experienced a radical conversion to Evangelical Christianity. Since then he has devoted most of his time and energy to studying and teaching the Bible, conducting studies throughout the western US and serving as teacher, counselor, and lay pastor. He has led several pilgrimages to Israel and Jordan, and is the author of all the website’s articles. These articles and his answers to questions on the Bible have been read by millions of pastors, teachers and students around the world and are regularly used as sermon topics and Sunday School lessons. Jack and his family currently reside on the Baja Peninsula in Mexico where they serve as volunteer missionaries. (Jack is not the former USA Today reporter, nor is he the former TV star and game show host.)
About Our Ministry
Our website ministry receives thousands of visitors every day from 190 countries and territories around the world. With the added exposure we get from other major websites that post our articles gracethrufaith.com has become one of the most popular Bible study websites in the world!
Our constant prayer is that the Lord will continue to expand our territory and increase our influence on the lives of those He brings to us while there’s still time. To that end, our primary goal for the coming year is bringing more of the 8,000 articles, topical studies, and Bible answers currently on the website to an even broader audience.
Since we also serve as missionaries in Mexico, we are heavily involved in local ministry too. There are urgent needs all around us and we focus all our available resources on helping people meet them. There are no accurate records, but estimated unemployment rates in our area run as high as 40%.
In the past our involvement has included providing food and clothing, and helping to support a no cost medical clinic and a no cost day care. In 2012 we added a no cost legal clinic that we opened to guide needy people through the often confusing process of obtaining emergency public assistance. Mexico has some very good health and welfare programs, but the bureaucracy that administers them makes it difficult for people to qualify. This means the very people for whom the programs were intended often get turned away empty handed. The legal assistance we provide gets qualified people the emergency help they need when they need it.
Early in 2012 we also began repairing and expanding existing homes, and even building new homes for families without adequate living space. So far this year we’ve replaced 6 roofs, built 4 major expansions on existing homes and completed 5 new homes. All at no cost to the people involved.
We continue to provide major support for the food budget of a ministry that serves a free hot breakfast to school kids in an impoverished area of Tijuana, and for a growing Vacation Bible School outreach in India that has resulted in entire villages turning to the Lord Jesus for their salvation.
About Our Beliefs
We hold to the pre-tribulation, pre-millennial dispensational system of theology and subscribe to a literal, historical, grammatical interpretation of scripture.
- Literal means we believe the bible is the inspired word of GOD to be taken at face value unless there is compelling reason to do otherwise (usually indicated in the context of the passage).
- Historical means that each passage is put into its proper historical setting, and surrounded with the thoughts, attitudes and feelings prevalent at the time of writing.
- Grammatical means that words are given meanings consistent with their common understanding in the original language at the time of writing.
We believe in the imminent return of our Lord for His Church (The Rapture), to be followed first by a period of judgment (The Great Tribulation) and then His final return to Earth with His Church to Rule and reign for 1000 years (The Millennium).
We believe that mankind is hopelessly lost due to sin and, destined for destruction, can only be saved by the completed work of the Lord on the cross through the regenerative power of the Holy Spirit. No amount of human effort or good work will suffice in lieu of this and none is required or necessary to supplement it.
We believe that our salvation is laid up in heaven, free for the asking, granted to everyone without condition or prejudice, out of the incomparable riches of God’s grace.
We believe that each human can, and indeed must, individually seek this salvation by choosing a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus.
We believe that all who ask will receive, all who seek will find, and to all who knock the door will be opened. It is our Father’s will that all who look to His Son and believe in Him will be saved.
We believe that once this relationship is sought and granted it can never be revoked or relinquished. While the Bible encourages us to live our lives in a manner pleasing to God, our salvation is not contingent upon maintaining certain standards of behavior.
We believe that the only true church is that invisible body of believers from all walks of life and every Christian denomination and faith who have trusted Him and only Him for their redemption.
