Q. I have been listening to some teaching by a messianic Jewish bible scholar who was talking about the identify of the antichrist. Though he agrees no one knows the antichrist’s identity, he believes the little horn mentioned in Daniel suggests the antichrist will be (a)-syrian.. or from Syria. He traces Syria history back from the Hittites, to the Assyrian Empire, Babylonian Empire, Persian Empire, Alexander, Ottoman and so forth. What are your thoughts?

Perspective by Jack Kelley
The Ottoman Empire existed from 1299 until 1922. It was in many respects the Islamic successor to the Eastern leg of the Roman Empire and like the Romans had its headquarters in Constantinople (Istanbul). At the peak of its power, the Ottoman Empire extended from the Adriatic Sea in the west to the Caspian Sea in the east and from Austro-Hungary in the north to the southern tip of the Red Sea. It was at the center of interactions between the Eastern and Western worlds for 6 centuries. The Ottoman Empire was defeated in World War 1 after aligning with Germany. Its dissolution at the end of the war led to the formation of 40 new nations in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Northern Africa, many of them on land once claimed by the Romans.

Q. I have heard hundreds of people ask “Who is the AntiChrist?” but I don’t believe I have ever heard anyone ask “Who is the False Prophet?” I have been studying Revelation all afternoon (mostly in your series of articles) and I am stuck on Rev 13-14. Some teach that the False Prophet will be a Jew from the tribe of Dan. I believe I have read that you believe that too. So he will be a natural man. But the Anti Christ comes up out of the sea and I believe he is a spirit who will take possession of a man’s body, so who he is in reality doesn’t matter a whole lot. Could you give me some more insight on this? Read Post »

Q. In regards to A Cashless Society, in North Carolina we now have to put our hand on a scanner when we go to a clinic at the hospital to prove who we are. Is this going to lead to us putting our hand on a scanner when we want to buy food, etc? Sounds to me like ‘666′! Could this be a sign?

Q. In studying the Book of Revelation, we discover that during the Tribulation there will be a single global currency, a single global government and a single global religion. From a strictly logistical viewpoint, if the Rapture occurred in the next year or two, how could the anti-Christ all of a sudden “globalize” everything? Wouldn’t the world already need to have a uniform type of currency and government “in the works.” As far as the religion part is concerned, that could happen overnight, especially when the Church is gone. I definitely see the trend toward globalization – the EU is a perfect example, but we are far from having the entire world under one currency & government. I look forward to your thoughts on this.

Q. Today I received a revelation from “Israel my glory” magazine which confused my biblically uneducated mind and I need your help. Satan doesn’t have the ability to restore life once someone is dead. Does the AntiChrist come back to life after receiving the apparently deadly head wound as I have always believed? My study bible says maybe the reference is to the Roman Empire or to the AntiChrist but doesn’t really say either one is for sure the healed item.

Q. I (we) do appreciate your knowledge of scripture and Godly sense. I know that this should not really concern those of us who are waiting for His call to ‘come up hither’. My question is; when the anti Christ sits in the temple at the mid-point claiming to be God might he will also sacrifice humans? Maybe this would be one more reason that the Jews will head out to Petra? Is there scripture that might suggest this, or is this just an over active imagination?

Q. I have read the following on a web site and am wondering if the translations are correct. “There are two different Greek words that are translated as “temple” in English. One word “hieron” is used by Paul when referring to an actual building made with wood and stones. The other word “naos” is used when referring to the spiritual temple of God which refers to His people. The word “naos” is the one used in this 2 Thessalonians 2:4 verse, and therefore is NOT talking about a physical temple.”

Q. I’ve been doing a lot of reading about the rapture and the end times. I read that after the Church is taken home that one religion will be pushed and it will most likely be Islam. So I was wondering what you thought about Osama Bin Laden being the anti-Christ?
