Last Week’s Feature Article by Jack Kelley
I’ve received several emails lately asking for clarification of the term “Outer Darkness.” It’s mentioned a total of 4 times in the New Testament, three by name and one by implication, and always by Jesus. The term is not used any where else, Old Testament or New, by any other writer. Those who ask want to know if it’s another name for the place of eternal punishment, or if it’s some place different. And they want to know who’s going there.

Q. In your article “2012…End of the World?” you stated, “Earth’s land mass has been pushed apart to form the current continents and islands, the Earth’s orbit has been extended by 5 ¼ days, and its axis tilted by 23.44 degrees. All this and more will have to be fixed in order for Earth to once again be the paradise it was created to be.” A journalist on a secular news video stated today that the earthquake in Chile, “moved so much mass on the planet that government scientists estimate it moved the earth off it’s axis by about three inches; shortened the day by a few millionths of a second; and raised the ground level of one island by six feet.”

Q. I have some questions in regard to how you think The Lord’s shortening of the Tribulation period, as stated in the Bible, will play out? I have never read anything in the Bible directly addressing how this will occur. I don’t believe I have even read a commentary on this question either. Only that The Lord is a compassionate God and for the sake of mankind this period of time will be shortened.

Q. Referencing Luke 17: 28-29. “Likewise even as it came to pass in the days of Lot; they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; but in the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all”. Do you believe Jesus was saying that the Tribulation will start on the same 24-hour day that the Rapture takes place?

Q. Thanks again for the time you put into this ministry. I know it is a huge benefit to so many. My question is regarding the “last generation” mentioned in Matthew and Luke, at Olivet. You have said that 1948 and the re-birth of Israel ’start the clock’ – meaning the generation alive/being born during that time will be around to see the return of messiah.
After several readings of the Matthew and Luke Passages, It seems to me that the generation referred to is the generation that sees the beginning of the tribulation – THAT generation will live to see the return of messiah. Would you mind explaining why my reasoning might be incorrect?

Q. After some serious cosmic & earthly occurrences shake things up the people in Revelation 6:16-17 are afraid and want to be hid from the face of Him on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb. “For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” Assuming Revelation is fairly chronological, the “great day of His wrath” doesn’t really start until the Great Tribulation in general and Armageddon battle specifically, so why are they saying this early on in the 6th Seal judgment?

Q. For the most part I enjoy your site and agree with most of what you write, but I do have some questions. You write that during the tribulation, those who come out of it are from Israel and not Gentiles, unless I misunderstood you. Also, you write that tribulation saints have to hold onto their salvation by works, again, if I understood you correctly. Do you not believe that those Tribulation saints spoken of in Rev. 7-14 include Gentiles?

Q. Concerning the so-called blood moon eclipses that are coming in 2014-2015. Could it be that these eclipses mark(signify) the start of the second half of the tribulation? Are they the Blood Moons spoken of in Joel 2:31 and Rev. 6:12 ?

Q. In regards to A Cashless Society, in North Carolina we now have to put our hand on a scanner when we go to a clinic at the hospital to prove who we are. Is this going to lead to us putting our hand on a scanner when we want to buy food, etc? Sounds to me like ‘666′! Could this be a sign?
