Q. Why is it that some people when they pray for your healing ask you afterwards to do something that you couldn’t do before? For example move your leg, your arm, etc? Is this scriptural?

Q. I have kidney and pancreas failure, and have been on dialysis for 2.5 years now. We have been praying for healing for years, even before it got to the dialysis stage. My prayer is that even if its only a month before the Rapture and that is all the time I have as a ‘well’ person, I still ask for it, partly because its horrible to be sick all the time, and partly because I think it would be a tremendous witness in the power of our Lord to go from having barely any kidney function, and no pancreatic function, to all of a sudden being as healthy as any healthy person is. I have been blessed beyond belief with my faith, my husband, and finances. But this decaying body is always hanging over my head, and its seems like each month we are here on this earth it gets worse and worse. I guess the question is, since my motives aren’t 100% please-heal-me-so-I-can-be-a-witness and honestly more geared towards wanting to be healthy even for a short time, will this negate my prayers?

Q. I have a question about the use of a “pool of bethesda” in churches today. I was at a church that used this as a means to receive blessings from God and also healing. Their reasoning is that you should start thanking God for blessings you asked for before you walk through the pool. In this way you start acting like you have already received the blessings and if you believe this, then they will come to be.
I know that the original pool of Bethesda was where Jesus performed the miracle of healing on the man that waited for 38 years for someone to help him into the pool when it was stirred. Is there any scripture that would verify this pool can be used in today’s churches to receive blessings from God?

Q. I have a disabled son. He has a variety of problems. It seems new “conditions” keep getting added on. We have prayed for years for healing, but he just gets worse. A family member told me; “God’s plan for your son is a short life full of pain but He has purpose in that pain”. Does God function that way?

Q. Re: James 5:16. I am wondering how one prays an “effectual fervent” prayer? Does God require a certain level of emotion (fervency) to see prayer answered? How does one motivate oneself to such a level of intensity? Does it apply to certain kinds of prayer or all types?

Q. Re: Fasting For The Lord I have asked my doctor about fasting and was told that since I am diabetic it was not a good idea for me to do so. I want to fast to clear my mind of things however and I just don’t know how to do so. I have tried denying myself some things I enjoy but I guess that doesn’t seem the same as when I used to fast “for real” before I developed diabetes. Can you suggest anything to me that might help me?

Q. My question concerns fasting. I read somewhere – can’t remember where, though – that we should not just pick a day and fast. That we need to feel led to do so concerning something specific, ie. healing or deliverance for someone, or for the answer to a serious problem. How do you feel about fasting and how do know that is what God wants you to do?

Q. Gods blessings and a heart felt thanks for all you have taught me over the years. Could you please explain Matthew 15 verses 22 thru 28 especially 26-27: “But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their master’s table.

Q. I know when we get to Heaven we will have our glorified bodies. But will the tribulation saints have their glorified bodies also or will they still be in the flesh? I remember reading the Bible and it said when they got sick they will have to touch the leaves to recover. So does that mean only the church will have glorified bodies or will we all have glorified bodies?
