Q. Thank you so much for being willing to answer questions; your Biblical knowledge and insight are very helpful.  I have read various authors discuss the Dome of the Rock and the coming Temple having to be built on the same location and others disputing that by saying the temple described in Ezekiel as being further north and not necessarily involving the Dome of the Rock. Which do you see has the most Biblical support?

Q. I have been researching this question all week and have not found a satisfactory answer.  So, I turn to you.

Exodus 30:9:  You shall not offer strange incense on it, or a burnt offering, or a grain offering; nor shall you pour a drink offering on it.

I can understand the prohibition for strange incense.  Why not the others?

Q. Thank you for your study and for answering our questions.  My question is do you think we could be missing a literal reading of Dan 9:27?  I know many translations vary, but Luther translated it “And upon the wings shall stand the abomination of desolation” and I was wondering if it could possibly mean that the antichrist might set up an image, whether a statue or a hologram of himself, right atop the rebuilt ark in the rebuilt temple.  The mercy seat above the ark has two angels with outspread wings.  Isn’t the mercy seat supposed to become the throne of Jesus when He comes to reign in the new Jerusalem.  What better place to put an idol of himself?

Q. On TV recently, (a well known author) indicated that the Ark has been moved to Israel from Ethiopia and will be present in the Third Temple.

You and I both believe the Ark is lost and will never be recovered because its presence is never mentioned again.  Would you comment, please.

Q. Your explanation concerning the destruction of the Temple Mount when the Mount of Olives is divided makes perfect sense.  All the pieces of the puzzle fit together and the river flowing from the south side of the Temple into the valley makes it impossible for the puzzle to be resolved in any other way.

Yet, I don’t see any other teacher of prophecy arriving at a similar conclusion.  They all talk about the Third Temple being on Temple Mount (although they stumble at what to do with the Muslim structures and the river flowing from the south side of the Temple (which they do not so much as mention).

So, I have to ask — Scripture is so clear, so explicit, how is it that only you interpret the plain words in that way?  Are there not any other teachers who have arrived at the same conclusions?

Q. My husband and I were in Jerusalem some years ago and visited the Temple Institute.  I am confused as to why the Jews stopped sacrificing, (I heard that it had to do with the ribbon on the goats no longer turning white) which is a good explanation.  Why then would they be ready to “sacrifice again” by getting ready the temple parts and apparently could start sacrificing in less than a day if needed.  Can you explain this?  Read Post »
