Worshiping Idols?

Q. Recently (a well known Pastor) was giving an illustration about healing, faith and interference from Satan. He said there was a certain woman who had long prayed for healing without results, and now was asking the pastor for help. Upon visiting this woman at her home, the pastor noticed she had an extensive collection of dragon statues that she had collected during her world travels. He told her that these dragon statues were representative of “that old serpent” and not only invited Satan but gave him a “legal right” to be in her home, and that this was preventing healing from taking place.

Poor In Spirit

The Word says be ye filled with the Spirit, walk in the Spirit.   So I’m not for sure what it means in Matthew 5,  “Blessed are the poor in Spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Contemporary Music

Q. I have been a member of my Southern Baptist Church for 18 years since moving away from my hometown.  Over the years, we have grown from 700 to now averaging around 3500.  We have two worship services , one traditional with some mix of traditional and praise hymns.  The second service is contemporary complete with band which includes electric guitars, drums, bass etc.   I grew up loving Clapton, Alman Bros, etc.  So its not that I do not like rock music. My question is concerning Contemporary Worship.

Contemporary Vs. Traditional Music

Q. My question is in regards to contemporary Christian music.  It seems that there is a certain type of people (Christians) that condemn this type of ministry of music as satanic and deceiving.  I love the Lord and have responded to the call to this ministry. Should Women Cover Their Heads In Church?

I periodically re-read sections of the bible. Each time I find more that I did not see before. This time I am in 1 Corinthians 11. I am concerned that I need to cover my head when I worship or pray. Can you expand on what this chapter is referring to?
