Babylon And The Rapture

If Babylon must be rebuilt to the point that is has the clout required to satisfy the descriptions given in Revelation 18 like “Was there ever a city like this great city?”, how can the Rapture be imminent?

Q. If Babylon must be rebuilt to the point that is has the clout required to satisfy the descriptions given in Revelation 18 like “Was there ever a city like this great city?”, how can the Rapture be imminent? What is the minimum possible time for Babylon to be built from its present status to that of a major political and economic center? Could it be done in less than the seven year time required for the Tribulation? Or is the Rapture not imminent?

A. The timing of the Rapture of the Church has nothing to do with the status of Babylon. While it won’t take as long as you might think for Babylon to be built into a major world center, the Rapture will take place long before the world begins to see Babylon the Great emerge on the Banks of the Euphrates.
