Gog, Magog And The Anti-Christ

Q

Thanks again for all your wonderful insights, may the Lord bless you.

Something has been bugging me lately about the whole Gog/Magog war, the treaty and the anti-Christ.

Ezekiel 38:23 “I will magnify Myself, sanctify Myself, and make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am the LORD.”‘
Ezekiel 39:21-22 “And I will set My glory among the nations; and all the nations will see My judgment which I have executed and My hand which I have laid on them. And the house of Israel will know that I am the LORD their God from that day onward.”

So if the whole world and Israel knows that God delivered Israel from her enemies why would they sign a treaty with the anti-Christ?

A

This is one of those situations that argues for a pre-trib rapture around the time of the Battle of Ezekiel 38. In short, because the true church is gone those who are left will be fooled into thinking that the anti-Christ has been sent from God. In 2 Thes. 2:9-12 Paul explains it for us.

The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
