Have You Changed Your Mind?

Q

Why do you now use the 1948 date instead of the 1967 date in predicting End Times events? In the past you’ve stated that because the countdown to the first coming in Daniel 9:24-27 began with the rebuilding of Jerusalem we should focus more on 1967 when it became a Jewish city gain.

A

The more I compare Luke 21:24 to Daniel 2:36-45 the more convinced I become that the times of the gentiles don’t really end until the Lord comes back to establish His kingdom. Daniel 9:27 & 11:41,45 say that the anti-Christ will have a strong presence in Jerusalem during the Great Tribulation, and Zechariah 14:2 says the city will be divided again in the Battle of Armageddon. If that’s the case then the gentiles will be trampling on Jerusalem right up to the time the Lord returns.

I still believe that the re-unification of Jerusalem in 1967 is a major end times sign and for that reason believe that 2037 is the absolute latest that all the prophecies can be fulfilled. But now I don’t think it’s going to take that long.
