Is The Parable Of The Talents About Us?

Q. Hi there, love the website by the way! I have a question on this parable that I hope you can help me with, it has always confused me.

I understand that we are saved by Grace through faith, but the servant who recieved the one talent was sent to a place of ‘weeping and knashing of teeth’ because he as I understand it, did nothing with the gift s and talents god has given him, I am a born again spirit filled believer, but if at the end of my life I haven’t actually put the gifts god has given me to good use for his kingdom, is this saying that God wont accept us in heaven? And so why I am confused is, because it also says there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.  As you can see I am very confused as to what this scripture is actually talking about, Please help!!

A. Relax … This parable doesn’t apply to you. In Matt. 25, Jesus gave three illustrations of conditions on Earth at the time of His return, concerning the disposition of people who had survived the Great Tribulation. We know this because in Matt. 24:29, 30, 36, and Matt. 25:1, 14, & 31 the Lord clearly identified the time of these illustrations as being after the Great Tribulation has ended and He has returned to Earth.  Therefore these illustrations can’t apply to us because the Church will have been raptured at least 7 years previously.
