Listen To The Lord!

I am battling with a few health issues and I am really fed up with being so confused about who to listen to and who not to. For instance, I have been listening to several well known teachers for the past 5 years and found many of their teachings a real blessing. However, some people have been telling me lately that these people are false teachers and I should stop listening to them. The bottom line is that I am EXTREMELY CONFUSED about healing. Do I confess healing scriptures every day, do I speak to my body, or do I just trust that the Lord in His time with heal me and stop purchasing the books and DVDs all these people put out? Also, is it wise to meditate on healing scriptures daily?

My advice to you is to stop listening to all these conflicting human interpretations with their various methods and procedures. Get out your Bible and start listening to God again. You’ll notice the apostles didn’t use the fancy techniques and procedures being taught by many teachers today. Their faith was so strong they simply declared a person to be healed in Jesus’ name and he was. If you think there’s something preventing your healing, ask the Lord to reveal it to you. This is between you and Him. No one else needs to be involved.

The Bible says it’s good to meditate on Scripture. That’s the advice the Lord gave to Joshua as the Israelites were beginning the conquest of the Promised Land and it worked well for him.

Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (Joshua 1:8).

And Paul agreed,

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things. (Phil. 4:8)

It’s a way to “keep the faith” and maintain your peace in a world full of confusion.
