Persecution In The West?

Q

We Christians in the US have had life on easy street. How much do you think that will change before the rapture?

A

The brunt of the persecution of the Church is being felt in China, Africa, and India, where the Church’s growth is most dramatic and where the power of the Holy Spirit is most in evidence. It’s very much like the western church was 1900 years ago.

Since I think the Rapture is very close, things would have to change very quickly and very significantly for us to experience much real persecution here.

But the problem we face is just as serious, and should be just as frightening. The defining characteristic of the Church here is apostasy. It’s a shame really, because historically persecution has always stimulated growth and vitality, while apostasy is the precursor of death.
