Q
As Christians we are told to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. It is my understanding that when Israel feels at peace it will be the set up for a major delusion/attack on them. So, aren’t we praying for the Lord to hasten when we pray for Israel’s peace? Or did I get this all wrong?
A
No, you got it right. Psalm 122:6 tells us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. When we do we’re praying for the Lord’s return because He’s the only one who can bring peace to that troubled land. The false peace that serves to set Israel up for Ezekiel’s battle will be due to their reliance on man, not God.
