Why does Rev. 20:5 say that this is the first resurrection?
Would this be a correct:
1) Those who died before Jesus died, and were right with God, – they have already received their glorified bodies. (Elijah and Moses were recognized when Jesus was transfigured. Although Elijah didn’t die, Moses did.)
2) Those who died after Christ was resurrected, and are saved, will be resurrected at the time of the Rapture.
3) Those who are beheaded during the tribulation are resurrected at the beginning of the millennium (Rev. 20:5)
4) After the millennium, all those who rejected Christ are resurrected for judgment.
Also, does anyone die during the millennium, – and if so, when would they be resurrected?
Many thanks for your time. I have been trying to sort this out for awhile.
Old Testament believers will be resurrected at the 2nd Coming. (Daniel 12:1-2) The Church is resurrected at the Rapture.(1 Thes. 4:16) Tribulation Martyrs are resurrected at the 2nd Coming (Rev. 20:5) All these are part of the First Resurrection.
All unbelievers of all ages are resurrected at the Great White Throne judgment at the end of the Millennium (Rev. 20:11-15)
The Bible says that unbelievers will die during the Millennium but doesn’t speak of any resurrections. (Isaiah 65:20)
