Quoting from Ezek. 28:14 “You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones.” My question is, what could God possibly need protection from? Why would He need Satan’s protection? Are there other guardian cherubs?

There are four other cherubs (cherubim) who guard the throne of God. They’re described in Ezekiel 1, Isaiah 6, (where they’re called Seraphim) and Rev. 4. As is true with earthly rulers, who had to have copied this idea from God, they symbolize His power, just like His throne and other ceremonial accouterments of His office. God doesn’t need protection from anything or anyone.
