What About The Miracles?

Q

You had mentioned that Jesus set His Godly powers aside, therefore, didn’t know the day or the hour of the Second Coming and I agree. However, how was He able to see into people’s hearts, know their thoughts, raise the dead, etc… if His powers had been set aside?

A

At the last supper Jesus told His disciples that anyone with faith in Him would do the things He had been doing, and in fact would be able to do even greater things than He had done (John 14:12). A few verses later He promised them the Holy Spirit (John 14:16-17). This tells us He had done all His miraculous work by the power of the Holy Spirit, and that with faith the same power is available to us. Through out the Book of Acts the disciples, who certainly were not God in human form like He was, proved Him right through miraculous work of their own. And so it has been to the present time.
