Where’s The Holy Spirit?

Q

I was wondering if you could tell me where the Holy Spirit is. Is He presently on the earth or is he omnipresent? Also I was wondering where the Holy Spirit will be at when the church raptures. I mean if the restrainer is taken away like it talks about in Thessalonians that would mean the Holy Spirit would dwell in heaven, right? I would greatly like to hear your insight on this question it would help me gain a greater depth of insight into the word of God.

A

At present, the Holy Spirit is sealed within Church Age believers as a deposit from God guaranteeing our inheritance (Ephesians 1:13-14). This doesn’t mean He has no other responsibilities. He functions in a variety of ways for us, such as counseling, convicting, and interceding on our behalf, and distributing gifts to us as He determines.

After the Rapture, we will no longer need the Holy Spirit’s guarantee because we will have received our inheritance. He will return to an Earthly ministry similar to the one He performed in the Old Testament, working with believers and drawing unbelievers to God, but will not be sealed within tribulation believers as He is with the Church. That’s a blessing unique to us.
