Who Is Jesus’ God?

Q. “My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me?” cried Jesus.  Who is Jesus’ God?

A. When Jesus became a man He set his godliness aside and lived His life only in the strength of a man.  He performed His miracles through the power of the Holy Spirit, and faced the same temptations we face (Hebr. 5:15).  That’s why He said that if our faith was great enough we’d be able to do we’d be able to do what He did. (John 14:12)  In John 20:17 He said He was ascending to His Father and our Father, to His God and our God. As a man, His God was the same as ours.
