I am confused on a question about the Millennium. I had come to believe that the Church would also dwell on the earth with the Tribulation Saints during this time. Is this not the case, will those of us raptured, not dwell also on earth?
The answer to your question lies in John 14:2-3:
In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
Jesus didn’t promise to come back to be with us where we are. He promised to go to His father’s house to prepare a place for us there. Then He’ll come to get us and take us there, where He is. According to Rev. 21:27, the Church will dwell in the New Jerusalem, which at about 1400 miles tall, across, and deep is about 2/3rds the size of the Moon and is too big to be located on Earth. I see it as a low orbit satellite in Earth’s proximity but not on it.
