Thank you for your insight! Your website has been a blessing to me for a long time. There’s something I do not understand. In my heart, I believe heaven and earth are eternal. Am I wrong? What did Jesus mean in Matthew 24:35, Mark 13:31, and Luke 21:33 when He said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” It is also mentioned in 2 Peter 3:10.
As far as we can tell there will always be a Heaven and an Earth. At the time of the 2nd Coming they will both be made new again, with Earth being restored to the way it was at the Creation. Both Jesus (Matt. 19:28) and Peter (Acts 3:21) called this the restoration of all things. That’s the way it will be during the Millennium. There are hints in the Bible that there will be another major re-make at the end of the Millennium but no one knows exactly what that will entail. This may be what Peter was referring to in 2 Peter 3:10.
