Won’t All The Christians Be Gone?

Q

I love your site and have learned so much. In one of your answers you stated, “However, the scenario you describe will come to pass after the Church is gone. It will happen during Daniel’s 70th week when millions of Christians will be martyred for their faith, and for their refusal to worship the anti-Christ and take his mark.” My question is, if all the believers in Christ have been raised with him, I didn’t think there were any Christians left.

A

There won’t be any Church Age believers left after the rapture. But many people will be saved during the seven years or more between the departure of the Church and the 2nd Coming.

Seeing the Church disappear will be a strong motivating factor for those who had heard the Gospel but hadn’t made up their minds one way or the other about it, and for those who attended a church but didn’t think they had to be born again.

Others will see the end times judgments and know by reading the Bible that they’re coming from God, and still others will be saved through the efforts of the 144,000 evangelists the Lord will appoint after the Church is gone. (Rev. 7:1-8) The evidence that God exists will be overwhelming and many will risk their lives to put their faith in Him.

In short, the period of time between the rapture and the 2nd Coming could see more conversions to Christianity than any other comparable period of time in history.
