Faith Without Works

Q. I’d like to read your interpretation of James 2:14-26. Do you think a believer can live a life with no change in his lifestyle and really be a true believer?

Faith In The Rapture?

Q. Thank you for your insight and study and the willingness to share your time with us. I have a concern/question: I have read your studies on the Rapture and how to be ready when He comes. I believe what you present, but struggle with the teaching of others that say you have to have faith to be taken in the Rapture, just as you have to have faith to be saved, healed, etc. How do I reconcile the two?

Psalm 119:137-176, Conclusion

Note:  Psalm 119 is an acrostic poem which means that each of its stanzas begins with one of the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet starting with the aleph and continuing in order through the tau. Within a stanza each verse begins with the same letter.  Stanzas are titled with the letter they feature.  Every one of the psalm’s verses mentions the Word of the Lord. This is the final segment of Psalm 119 and covers verses  137-176.

Living By Faith

Q. I just read your post entitled Living By Faith and followed the tags and read Trusting The Lord For Everything. Excellent answers to both questions and much needed by all believers in our country.

My questions is this: we have some preachers who preach the Word but the people seem to be starving. If the speaker tries to feed them meat they almost seem to cover their mouths (and ears) and back up. Living by faith is just a phrase to most believers and faith is inversely proportional to the material goods we have, as you stated. Is this a fulfillment of prophecy or just the natural progression followed by Europe before us and what can be done?

The Will Of My Father

Q. I would appreciate an explanation of Matt. 7:21 in relationship to salvation. If you accept Christ’s gift of grace, and turn your life over to him,  can you lose your salvation if  you don’t do the will of God?

Fire Walking

Q. Can you please give me your opinion on fire walking, walking over a bed of glowing coal.  A motivation speaker uses it to curb peoples fear.  I have looked around but can not find much about it from an Christian view point.  It seems wrong to me though.  The said speaker offers other useful services but I would rather distance myself from him if fire walking is against the Lords will.Your opinion will be much appreciated.

Psalm 114

When Israel came out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of foreign tongue, Judah became God’s sanctuary, Israel his dominion. The sea looked and fled, the Jordan turned back; the mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs. Why was it, O sea, that you fled, O Jordan, that you turned back, you mountains, that you skipped like rams, you hills, like lambs? Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob, who turned the rock into a pool, the hard rock into springs of water.

Should Christians Fear?

Q. Is it wrong in the eyes of the Lord if I have fear of the unknown despite that I asked and ask His forgiveness and His help and I trust Him with everything? I handle hard my bad feelings, especially distress and fear. Are these feelings equal to doubt in the eyes of the Lord? I have problems with the definition of doubt, what the Lord counts as doubt. Worthy To Escape

Q. Would you be kind enough to explain Luke 21:36?  I am a born again Christian depending on what Christ sacrificed on the cross for me.  I do not believe I am worthy to escape what is soon to happen, except for Christ in me, He alone is worthy.  I am confused as to why it states in Luke 21:36 to pray always that I may be worthy to escape. Psalm 112

Praise the LORD. Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who finds great delight in his commands. His children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.
