Every Eye Will See Him
In Matthew 26:64 Jesus answers the high priest,”…Hereafter shall ye see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.” How can the high priest see Him coming in the clouds of heaven if unbelievers are not resurrected until after the millennium?
Q. In Matthew 26:64 Jesus answers the high priest,”…Hereafter shall ye see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.” Jesus is obviously referring to His second coming after the Great Tribulation and before the millennium. How can the high priest see Him coming in the clouds of heaven if unbelievers are not resurrected until after the millennium?
A. The word “you” (ye) in the passage is plural, indicating all of the religious leaders present there as well as their successors. In fact, all the spirits in Hell awaiting their final judgment will take note of His arrival as well as all those still living. Rev. 1:7 tells us, “Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.”
