Q
Regarding Rev. 3:11: “Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.” My question is which crown is this referring to? And what can be done to take the crown away?
A
Since He was commending the church in Philadelphia for their patient endurance, I think the Lord was referring to the crown of righteousness that will be awarded to those who long for His appearing (2 Tim. 4:8). He was telling them (us) not to lose hope but to cling to His promise to keep us from the hour of trial.
We can lose that crown by losing our hope in the pre-trib rapture. We’ll still go, but by abandoning our hope in His promise to take us before the judgments begin we’ll lose our crown.
