Q. Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)
You say that Jesus never taught about the rapture, but in this passage doesn’t the phrase “whoever lives and believes in me will never die” refer to those who will be taken on the Rapture?
A. Yes I think this verse refers to the rapture. But we can’t use it to say that Jesus taught about the rapture, because if we didn’t already know there is one we wouldn’t be able to understand it from this reference. We know what He was saying here because we’ve already read Paul’s teaching on the rapture from 1 Cor. 15:51-52, 1 Thes. 4:16-17 and others.
