I really enjoy your web site. My question is in regard to how long it will take to build the third temple. My thinking is that if Daniel’s 70th week is 7 years, each day being a year, would the temple be built in 3 years? Jesus said “Destroy this temple and I will raise it up in 3 days.” Would the building of the temple occur during the first 3 years of the tribulation?
The Bible doesn’t say how long it will take to rebuild the Temple. It only says that in the middle of the last seven years, the anti-Christ will put an end to the sacrifice and offering (Daniel 7:27). To me that means it will have been in use for some unknown period of time prior to that event which means it will have to be rebuilt early in the 70th Week.
The Lord was talking about His own death and resurrection in the phrase, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it up in 3 days.” I don’t believe He was also making reference to rebuilding the future Temple.
