Soul Ties

Published: February 15, 2015 (Originally published: February 15, 2015)
Q

I have several friends that have a thing about soul ties. Have you ever heard of this? They seem to think any ex or lover or whatever you’ve touched leaves you bound to them in some way. Emotionally, spiritually, just whatever. And of course it must be dealt with, and from what I can gather it’s a painful and difficult ordeal.

Millennial Life Spans

Published: February 14, 2015 (Originally published: February 15, 2015)
Q

Will all the righteous who enter into the millennium (and born during it) live to see Satan released at the end? I know the Bible says that a sinner will die 100 years old but it doesn’t give a number for the righteous. It just compares their life length to that of a tree. Kind of like what happened with Rayford in the Left Behind series. He lived through the 7 years AND the entire 1000 year reign of Christ.

Did Paul Write Paul’s Epistles?

Published: February 15, 2015 (Originally published: February 16, 2015)
Q

My sister’s church is having a Bible study and the instructor has told them every seminary and those who attend them know that Paul didn’t write all the epistles in the New Testament, that one was even written several years after his death, I know there are attempts all the time to try to discredit the Bible but I was caught off guard with this teaching.

The Resurrection of Tribulation Saints

Published: February 15, 2015 (Originally published: February 16, 2015)
Q

My question is in regards to the tribulation saints. I believe that when Jesus come in the rapture, we and all others who died in Christ will get perfected bodies. The ones that died will be resurrected right? If so, does this mean that there will be a second resurrection for the tribulation believers who die? Thank you for your help.

More On The Holy Spirit

Published: February 15, 2015 (Originally published: February 16, 2015)
Q

I really enjoy your website, thanks for all the work you do. Here is my question. In Psalms 51:11 David says” Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me”. First off, I thought believers were not given the Holy Spirit until after Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection. My next question is why did he pray “take not thy Holy Spirit from me”? It sounds to me as if the Holy Spirit could be taken back. Any insight into this scripture would be appreciated. Thank you!

Confident Or Careless?

Published: February 17, 2015 (Originally published: February 17, 2015)
Q

I have seen other commentators use “confidently” in their interpretation of Ezek. 38:11 where you use “carelessly”. They say the word is meant to imply they’re confident in their ability to repel any attack, not that they have their guard down. What do you think of that interpretation?

What Is Idolatry?

Published: February 17, 2015 (Originally published: February 17, 2015)
Q

I have two questions. What is idolatry exactly? Is it just greed? Also, in 2 Timothy 4:3,” For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear” What would these teachers be telling them?

The Days Of Noah

Published: February 17, 2015 (Originally published: February 17, 2015)
Q

I was talking to a minister friend of mine, who believes that times are going to get rough for us Christians prior to the rapture. He doesn’t believe we’ll go thru any of the tribulation, but just that things will get rough. He also mentioned about the end times being like the days of Noah, that Noah preached for 120 years while building the ark, and suggested that we should add 120 years to 1948 for the timing of the 2nd Coming to be consistent the Lord’s prophecy in Matt. 24:37. What do you think?

How Did Revelation Get Distributed?

Published: February 18, 2015 (Originally published: February 18, 2015)
Q

Since John was exiled to Patmos, how did the letters to the seven Churches get distributed? While we’re at it, how did the book of Revelation get dispersed and enter the cannon of scriptures? I thought being exiled meant that there was nobody around.

Are The Jewish People Ritually Pure Today?

Published: February 18, 2015 (Originally published: February 18, 2015)
Q

I have a question on the purifying of the land described in Ezekiel 39. It says that the whole nation engages in disposing of the bodies of the invaders for seven months. After seven months, squads of people are specially employed to dispose of any remains that are found. When a bone is found, a marker is placed by it and the burying is done by specialists. One explanation I’ve heard is that the common man avoids touching the bone so he can remain ritually pure. My question is: Does this level of ritual purity exist in Israel today?
