There are many names and titles of Jesus throughout both the Old and New Testament. This study will not be an exhaustive list, but instead a sampling of some of my favorites. My goal is to give us an opportunity daily to stop and behold the wonder of our Savior as we prepare to celebrate His birth.

He will be succeeded by a contemptible person who has not been given the honor of royalty. He will invade the kingdom when its people feel secure, and he will seize it through intrigue. (Daniel 11:21)

Here we have God in His most active mode, deliberately weaving every event of our lives together into a tapestry of beneficial effect.

For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight.

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. (Hebrews 6:19)
